Having watched the 80's fantasy flick Krull this weekend I did a brief search and found this very cool old school blog with a free illustrated pdf download of a short but comprehensive Krull campaign for levels 7-9. It basically follows the format and plot of the movie--looks like fun and I might try it one weekend. Thought others might like it as well so here it is! Could easily run as OD&D. Krull Campaign PDF

Awesome! A much better campaign world than film. Although it has cheesy nostalgia value for me now. Hmmm, gooseberry pie ...

Hey Vile, I have to say that my son absolutely loves Krull. He is a big fan of Krull, Willow, A Flight of Dragons, animated Hobbit & LOTR as well as the D&D cartoon (Which I must say is actually very good in my opinion). There is a cheese factor to Krull but he seems to not care or overlook it.

He is a big fan of Krull, Willow, A Flight of Dragons, animated Hobbit & LOTR as well as the D&D cartoon. That is an epic list of movies. Get him Ladyhawke for the glorious musical score if nothing else. I don't even have any of those movies in my personal library anymore, but now I want to start assembling it. d**n, Dragonslayer is my favorite. I still have the paperback downstairs on the shelf. Well, maybe Willow is my favorite. The number of Madmartigans and Airks I made as a kid is dizzying. Anyway, thrilled to see there is a Krull supplement. That made me lol.

Dragonslayer is awesome and the novelization a very fine compliment to the film. I still think it one of the best swords and sorcery offerings ever made, even though the lead actor is not nearly as good as the rest of the cast, but still quite likeable.
Krull has some kind of likeability I can't really account for in my taste. Any epic quest story with a fellowship of odd bedfellows and stalwarts is always welcome. I think the bumbling magician and his unlikely friendship with the Cyclops is great, also the destiny of the outlaw leader.
I think it would be fun to run this and its very well done.
If I was going to run a movie as a campaign I would go with the Golden Voyage of Sinbad!

I made at least one attempt, back when that movie came out, to write up a playable cyclops race based on that character...
