Ok, so this isn't really a totally new monster but modified remake of an existing critter. I Dm 5th edition for my 13 year old son and a couple of his buddies who are 14 and 15. A few sessions ago, they were laughing at how easily they are killing stuff. The party consists of a 6th lvl fighter, 5th lvl thief, 4th lvl barbarian, 4th lvl Ranger, 4th lvl Monk, 4th lvl paladin, and a 6th lvl mage (she don't really count tho cause she is an npc that I control and only helps when she feels like it ). In one adventure, in a dungeon under their tower (ya they have a small tower they cleaned out and took over), I threw 3 ogres, and 8 hobgoblins at them. They had a pretty easy time with them (though the mage had to use a fireball to help a little) so they felt unbeatable. Well being the DM that I am, I couldn't let that boast of over-confidence go unpunished. So for the next session I cooked up a little surprise for them. They are currently still trying to clear out the dungeon under the town but this time I had them find a path to the underdark where a party of Drow Elves were watching and waiting with a couple of Ogres. Well, when the party encounters this group, the fighter and barbarian figure that they will each take an ogre and the rest of the party can deal with the the elves. The barbarian runs up to my little surprise to attack it but they lose initiative. The critter hits the Barbarian 3 times in one turn and d**n near kills him (he has 47 hp and was dropped to 2 hp). Needless to say, they went running back to their tower with their armor soiled. I never laughed so hard in my life. Good times.
So I present to you the Ogre Berserker. Use at your party's own risk.
