Jon and I need to finish the postal shipping options research, but we're pretty close. Should have an update soon! Allan. Postage can be a bear to figure out.

Thanks for your patience. This post I made to G+ yesterday has a little more info/context: == The Black Blade site remains hosed at the moment, and will unfortunately likely remain so for the near-term. But, you can also listen to +Chris Holmes read from Maze of Peril at 2016's North Texas RPG Con on my web site @ www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/jeh_reading_ntxrpgcon-8.html+Jon Hershberger and I need to finish the Tales of Peril postal shipping options research, but we're pretty close, and should have an update soon. (The USPS Priority Mail flat rate options look best thus far, but we're sorting through a few different ways to ship Priority and trying to determine which will best-protect the books). When done, I'll post the details here in G+, FB, in forums, and on my blog. == Allan.

Late to the party, but can someone give me a better understanding of what exactly this is and why I should care? (That doesn't sound right. I don't intend to be snarky, just curious. I respect Allan and Jon, and if they are tied to a project it must be worth my attention.) I know that it's Holmes, of the Holmes Basic fame. I know that is stories but have never read Holmes' fiction and don't know how good an author he is, plus I'm unfamiliar with those characters mentioned. (My fault, my ignorance.) Also, reverence to Alarums & Excursions campaign materials makes me wonder -- is this all fiction or is there some gaming content associated with it? Can someone get me up to speed on this book?

Can someone get me up to speed on this book? It's mostly gaming fiction written by JEH about his home campaign, and associated non-fiction. There's not much gaming-useful material in the book, assuming you ignore the inspirational value of the fiction, Marv. The blog previews @ grodog.blogspot.com/ reveal a decent amount about the book, and you can listen to Chris Holmes read from Maze of Peril on my site @ www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/jeh_reading_ntxrpgcon-8.html to get a flavor for the fiction. If you have more Qs, chime in and I'll try to answer them Allan.

With a book like this, I'm trying to decide whether it belongs in my library upstairs, or in my rpg shelves downstairs. I've actually been thinking of relocating all the Appendix N books downstairs, but they really are just fiction so that's tough

Really loving this book. It is nice to have Chris Holmes' perspective of the stories. It was nice to see what Boinger and Zereth really looked like. The new story Witch Doctor was a great read. Thanks to all who had a hand in the making of this book! Cheers

So I took the plunge and WOW! Let me say that again WOW! What a phenomenal book! And the packaging, like those Russian nesting dolls LOL. I don't have a single regret about buying this wondrous work of history and art. The extras are alone worth the price, especially the memories of playing D&D with J Eric Holmes and his family.

Why did I not buy a copy when this was available (facepalm)... I know why I didn't buy a copy, international postage and currency conversion would have seen it cost me $100, but boy did I want a copy so bad. Maybe one day.

I'm pretty sure I bought a copy, but cannot find it on my shelf. Argh. Too much stuff, I guess.

I heartily encourage the "powers that be" to do a reprint. I've seen quite a few people (including myself) wishing that they had a copy.
