I'm looking for some decent 5E pregens. I'm going to be playing in a 5E game soon and don't want to take the time to work through all of the details of character generation. * I have the boxed set, with its 5 pregens. Those are really nice and the kind of thing I'm hoping to find, but more combinations. * I know that WotC had a thread on their boards with some characters posted, but my Windows-XP computer doesn't like their boards and it's too much of a bother to look for it. Anyone have any ideas on this? If not, I'll dust off "wizard1" or "cleric1" and just play that.

try the 5e homebrew forums as well as the download section of enworld, Fin. Thanks for the tip. I looked around enworld and didn't see anything, but I'll go back and search again. I'd like them to be "Adventurer's League" legal, so homebrew forums may not give me what I need without a lot of double-checking. Kind of funny, but you'd think that WotC would crank these out by the dozens. Human cleric, elven cleric, dwarven cleric, dragonborn cleric, human fighter, dwarven fighter, and so on. Just a bunch of choices where a newbie could just download and play. (Since you can customize though L4, why not start with a template?)

I would suggest just rolling up your character. It's fun (well to me it's fun anyways). And you get a really good grasp on what the characters can do especially if you are still going to DM your own game. My biggest problem with 5e is that I have never played any of these character classes and as a dm it makes planning an adventure a lot harder not knowing what these classes are capable of. We all had years of exp. Playing AD&D back in the day and the clases had way less abilities than they do in 5th edition. Even a basic fighter is no longer basic. This isn't a bad thing but if one isn't totally famiar with what characters can do now, it makes tplanning an adventure for them a lot more difficult. I found that rolling up a character myself and looking at the classes as a player does, it gives me more insight into how to challange the particular class.
As for pregens on the net, I have yet to find any.

Well, my big issue is that I really don't want to develop one character but instead would like to have a file folder full of options for first-time players. And I'm getting a little tired of every cleric being a dwarf just because the Starter Set pregens are like that.
I'd like to have a file of options so that a player could pick a race and class and start with a template, then tweak the character as they learn the game.

If you could talk to the person in charge of the Adventurer's League program at your FLGS (the guy who supplied the Encounters and Expedition adventures), there's another set of pregenerated characters tailored for Elemental Evil adventures.
But if all else fails, I would be happy to make a bunch of characters for you. Just let me know the specifics of how you'd want them made (i.e. using just Basic Rules or full Player's Handbook).
I don't get to play much (as a player), so it would let me to scratch my make-a-dude itch.

I have also found this generator as well yochai.hopper.pw/DnD_5e_CG/As well as this site www.tabletopping.net/5e-fighter.htmlThis site will actually create a pdf for you with all the characer stats and info on a character sheet. I just posted the link to the fighter generator but you can create any class you want in the players drop dpwn menu. Hope this helps.

I'll have to play around with it more, but it looks great. I know I didn't ask for any of this, but I always appreciate good resources. Thanks.

No problem. Good resources are hard to find so when I find something worth using, I like to share :-)
