I'm not sure if I ever posted in this forum about the Blackmoor maps I created. They have been on Flickr for years, but now I have uploaded them to Dropbox (follow the link in my signature), I thought it worth mentioning them again. The maps are replicas, as far as I could achieve, of the 1977 FFC map, and the maps found in DA1, DA3, and DA4. I then combined the DA3 and 4 maps into one big one, and my final creation was the same map at 5 miles per hex, the same scale as the Wilderlands maps. I then removed all the labels to provide a blank map for players, or for GM's to make their own Map using the Blackmoor terrain. For comparison, the Blackmoor map is the size of 4 of the Wilderlands maps. I got a huge enjoyment out of making them, but it would be even more of a buzz knowing they were being used. Enjoy!

I have been referencing your maps for my Burning Wheel Blackmoor campaign. Thanks for posting them again.

Just to let people know there is a new file in the Blackmoor Dropbox folder - the Blackmoor Vector 5 mile map, which is the combined DA1, DA3, DA4 map, reproduced in CS Illustrator. This was pretty much my ultimate Blackmoor map, and now that I have started making Vector maps, it's the one I really wanted to redo. It's the one with the black border, please download (5.59mb) and tell me what you think. It's also uploaded on flickr, in the Blackmoor folder. I thought I would also investigate saving it as a pdf, so the quality doesn't degrade at all, but found my forest symbol doesn't save to a pdf file. Sigh, I've fixed it, but will have to replace every instance of it before I can post a pdf of the map. I'm afraid it will be a few days before I have time to do that. Anyway, I hope you like the png in the meantime.

Okay, I have replaced the forest symbols and have posted a pdf in the Blackmoor Dropbox folder. For some reason it is 13mb, which is bigger than the Illustrator file!
I have also updated the png - I noticed one of the text labels was duplicated, so I have sorted that out.
If anyone checks out the pdf can you let me know if it views okay please. Thanks.
