Hiya! Watched this one a few days back. IMO, Best medieval fantasy movie in a while, since 2010's "Black Death". Sure, lacking in some details, but pretty entertaining. Classic vampire fiction, but up to date. Not that there wouldn't be good vampire or medieval fiction out there (that Jarmusch movie in particular was pretty spectacular), but this one pretty much nailed the right feel for me. Regardless of my own opinion, what did you think? Yours, Rafe

I've actually been waffling on whether or not to watch this, but now I'll give it a try! ...and then post my thoughts.

A small caveat, though: Apparently, the theatrical release/studio cut was substantially shorter than the director's cut. Judging on how the same studio recut "The Wolfman" from a good into a mediocre movie, the Director's Cut version of "Dracula Untold" that is going to be released in February is going to substantially improve on the already fine flick. So, you might want to wait for that one.
