First, I certainly hope this is the right place for this thread! Please move it if it's better in another sub-board.
Basically, I'm asking the community here if anyone knows of a copy of the "First Fantasy Campaign" available for sale. I am NOT a collector, and don't need to find one in pristine condition... I would hope it's not trashed, though.
I'm just a gamer dude, and hoping beyond hope to be able to find a copy for a reasonable price. If this is a pipe-dream, does anyone know if a PDF copy is available for sale, that could be professionally printed into a book or a wire-bound copy for reference and use at the game-table?
I'm very interested in the stuff I've learned about this product; The advice for setting up the particulars in the campaign, like players investing in roads and whatnot in their baronies really appeals to me. But I fear that this book may have (rightfully so) an extra-ordinary value due to collector interest. I just want to use it to play D&D!
Any links, or offers of sale, or advice on how to get a PDF copied and printed for personal use would be well appreciated!
Have a good one, OD&D'ers!
-Tim

There are two copies on eBay right now, one of a 3rd printing from Noble Knight for $175, and one from an Italian seller for €49.99 - which right now comes out to $61.30, plus almost $25 shipping. I've always found that a saved eBay search will get you much better prices on collectible D&D books than a store like Noble Knight.
There is no PDF for sale, but if you wanted to find one, you could definitely do a Google search: "first fantasy campaign" pdf.

Merctime, could not agree more. I'm so frustrated with all the RPG stuff out there that FFC and Tony Bath's stuff is not more readily available.
cadriel -- good point, I will give that a try.
While we're on this topic (and not, I hope, to hijack the thread) if anyone has any advice on getting Bath's stuff, please feel free to share that too!

Given the market, $60 for the FFC is not bad (it's a bit less what I paid for a near mint copy with the map) but the $25 for shipping is pretty brutal. The $175 Noble Knight is asking is through the roof. Tony Bath, fortunately, is actually in reprints available on Amazon. Tony Bath's page on Amazon

eBay. I had to wait a year before I spotted a nice copy for about $70, but affordable ones do come up from time to time.
It's a shame FFC isn't available for sale as an inexpensive PDF.

Merctime, In the spirit of Christmas, I'm willing to lend you my copy at no charge with an option to buy it. I'll ship it to you priority mail at my expense. Keep it for 6 months, after which you can either send it back to me July 1st 2015 or buy it for $30US --- that's less than 1/2 of what it seems to be going for on ebay. I got my copy for Christmas 2012. I read and enjoyed it. But it's not something I ever actually use in my games, and I'm not a collector. The inside and maps are in very good condition. But the cover has 3 defects: - small tear near top of front cover - small tear on spine - back cover has a diagonal crease/fold mark If you're interested, PM me with your address and I'll ship it out the beginning of next week and PM you the tracking number.

There's good people on this site. Merry Christmas everybody :-) I can't possibly tell you how much I agree with this. No, Seriously, how could I have possibly imagined that this was the sort of response I'd get from this thread? Hey, I'd have been perfectly happy with a link to a sale or some discussion on how to effectively print a pdf or bits of one. krusader74, you are truly my Santa Claus today! I've responded to your PM, and I will take care of you during this, be sure of that. I am still in a state of shock over this. But, NO good deed should go unrewarded.

Merry Christmas, Merctime, how cool for you! cadriel, I got Tony' Bath's Ancient Wargaming (which I did not know but now do that it includes the entirety of his "Setting up a War-games Campaign," together with a bunch of other cool stuff) for Christmas! And I've magically summoned a PDF of FFC! I am set to go for some Arnesonian / Bathian style 0e in the new year! Thanks
