After nearly 2 years of work and waiting we're getting close to finishing the 3rd editions of BFRPG. Lots of refinements and a whole lotta new artwork! Before releasing to print it'd be great to get as many eyes on this thing as possible. It's available on the BFRPG downloads page; feedback can be left here or on the forum thread on the BFRPG website. Thanks!

Do you want to use this thread for that, or would you prefer PM/email? Edit: Hey, wow! My name's still in the credits!

I went through the first two sections (I have a busy schedule coming up, so it may be a while before I can finish). These are really nitpicky, I know. But, that's an attestment to the quality of the work! Pg. 2 – may want to mention how to read the other type of d4
Pg. 6 – long white-space between “Description:” and “Halflings” (I assume that it’s because the picture sticks down into the paragraph
Pg. 6 – under Combination Classes, there is mention of “Core Rules” – is this defined anywhere? – I would recommend dropping the prepositional phrase outright, and just have the sentence read “Elves are the only characters eligible to be a member of one of these combination classes.”
Pg.11 – Missile Weapon Ranges table lists a “Hammer” – I assume that means “Warhammer” as no hammer is listed in the equipment or weapons list
Pg.11 – might be useful info to list the weights of beasts of burden (since you do so for land transportation on Pg.13), or simply remove the column

Is there any general sort of change or different thrust you're making from 2nd edition? In other words, any alerts on what to look for other than typos and such?

Details are on the 3E BFRPG thread and I'll try to consolidate a changelog this week. The main items are an additional combination class for the Elf, several new monsters (many pulled from the Field Guide which we're also working towards a print release on) and a few additional treasure items. There's also a small sections on traps. Otherwise it's mostly errata and clarifications.

But, that's an attestment to the quality of the work! Thanks for the feedback! I'll make sure these are noted on the BFRPG site. Yes by this release it's actually hard to find actual errors or such, which is certainly an indication of the amount of time and effort that's gone into this thing. Most of the initial feedback was changes or additions to the rules rather than errata, and we had to stay firm on this being a basic solid foundation of rules.

I get an error when I attempt to download: Invalid File Selected. Try right-clicking on the link and selecting "save target/link as". Make sure the file type/extension is correct in the window that pops up.
