I wrote this up a couple of years ago and thought I'd share it here. Here are the characters from the early seasons of Blake's 7, written up for the original Traveller rpg.

Skills: Brawling-2, Gun Combat-2, Leader-4, Pilot-1, Tactics-3
Kerr Avon
STR 7 DEX 9 END 7 INT C EDU C SOC 9
Skills: Brawling-1, Computer-4, Electronics-3, Gun Combat-1, Leader-1, Pilot-1, Tactics-1
Jenna Stannis
STR 7 DEX 9 END 7 INT 9 EDU 8 SOC A
Skills: Brawling-2, Gun Combat-2, Navigation-2, Pilot-3, Streetwise-1
Cally
STR 7 DEX 8 END 8 INT 8 EDU 7 SOC 7
Skills: Brawling-2, Gun Combat-2, Leader-1, Streetwise-2, Tactics-1
Psionics: Telepathy - Send Thoughts
Vila Restal
STR 6 DEX B END 7 INT 9 EDU 7 SOC 5
Skills: Gambling-1, Gun Combat-1, Jack of All Trades-2, Mechanical-3, Streetwise-3
Olag Gan
STR B DEX 7 END A INT 7 EDU 7 SOC 7
Skills: Brawling-3, Jack of All Trades-3, Streetwise-2
Servalan
STR 7 DEX A END 9 INT B EDU B SOC F
Skills: Administration-3, Bribery-3, Gun Combat-2, Streetwise-2, Tactics-2
Travis
STR 9 DEX 7 END A INT 7 EDU 7 SOC B
Skills: Brawling-2, Gun Combat-2, Leader-3, Tactics-3
I never got to write up the Liberator, along with Zen and Orac (which was mostly a plot device anyway). Maybe I'll get around to writing up Tarant, Dana, and Soo-Lin.

Best science fiction ever.

That's pretty nifty!
I'd probably be more exuberant had I ever seen the first series. I came to the show later, and never saw Blake in it at all. (And even that was years ago.)
Is it available online anywhere? I never think to check on Netflix, but I don't remember hearing it was on there.

I got the DVDs when they came out a while ago, which were pretty nifty. Not sure if it ever went beyond that. If you missed Blake, you probably missed the first 2 seasons.
I'd give Gan STR C, though. I think for Classic the skills are a bit high, you rarely got one up to level 3, and never more than one that high from my memory.

I'll try to keep a lookout for the series. I wrote up the characters after watching the first season or so at a friend's house. I wasn't able to get to the third season, so my memory of Tarant and the rest is a bit rusty. From what I remember, Tarant was a skilled pilot and had a dominant personality; he and Avon often butted heads over who would lead the group after Blake left. Dayna was a hothead and had a vendetta against Servalan (I won't mention any spoilers), but she had some knowledge of making weapons as was a skilled fighter. Soo-Lin was more level-headed than the previous two, and she was one of the best gunfighters around.
Blake definitely was a great leader. One of the reasons I gave him such a high skill in leadership was Avon's comment in the series finale.
"They will follow him, and he will fight... to the very last drop of their blood."

I ran a B7 game for a while when D20 Modern first came out, but I didn't really get on with the rules.

I can understand that. I'm not a fan of the d20 system either. If I don't use Traveller for a Blake's 7 game, I'd use either HERO or GURPS.

There was an unlicensed B7 game with a d100 system, produced by the Horizon bunch. I'd probably use RuneQuest or something similar these days.

Thanks for the link, simonw.
I would run a Blake's 7 campaign, but one of my players didn't like the show.

I would run a Blake's 7 campaign, but one of my players didn't like the show. That's simple - he's not your friend anymore!

I once read an entertaining article proposing how the Goody Two-Shoes Federation of Star Trek turned into the Evil Federation of B7. Wish I could remember the details ...

For those of you, like me, who missed the show, good news! Go to Youtube and look for user Blakes 7.
This magnificent gem of a human being has posted the entire series, in playlists for each season.
I'm two episodes in and absolutely hooked.

I hadn't planned to resurrect this thread, but I found a really good Blake's 7 Encyclopedia. The main page has links to more good stuff. And you know, perhaps I will run a Blake's 7 game in the near future after all. I'll set it right after the events on Gauda Prime. In case anyone wants some Blake's 7 miniatures, you can get them here.

The Sevencyclopedia is awesome. I remember getting my wife to print out a copy on her office printer when office printers and the internet were new and exciting (I still have them on my shelf next to the Blake's 7 RPG).
