Many people have offered to help with the S&W project, and thus far I've been so wrapped up in finishing the game that I haven't been able to organize my thoughts beyond that goal.
Here are some areas in which I could use help: 1) A character sheet. I've got decent graphic design abilities, but some people are light years ahead of me in artistic, computer, and design abilities. Would anyone care to design the game's "official" character sheet?
2) A sample dungeon. Small, but designed to be available for download as the inexperienced GM's first adventure.
3) A bit of help with the graphic of the game's title. I've designed one, but putting it into color and possibly with a border strains my photoshop skills.
4) Layout. RedPriest has volunteered to handle this, and he's good. If there's anyone out there who does layout for a living, though, let me know.
5) Art Patrons. I'm basically going to go with professional artists for the rules-book itself. If anyone would like to kick in some cash and be credited as an art patron of the game, please let me know.
I'll make similar requests for the magazine (which has different needs) once I've marshaled my thoughts a little better. The magazine will involve different concerns.

how about a mini setting and a town with maps?
Basically in 4th edition D&D. The DMG has a chapter called Fallcrest.
They detail (actually old school style) the town of Fallcrest, Nethryn (sp?) Vale, and a small but complete Dungeon.
The same with Swords & Wizardry, have a small barony/duchy size land, a town, along with a dungeon.

I am interested in being an art patron and helping out with finding illustrators. I have several connections with rpg artists and would be happy to be the "go between". I would volunteer work (I only volunteer artwork for rpg purposes-it isn't worth the hassle to me) but I don't want to spread myself too thin with other projects and it is better to assist in this case for me in this way than to directly participate.

Make it look as much JG as possible, and rob is the man for that!

Rob Conley I was hoping to wrap up the core book by June 20, but the sample adventure wouldn't need to be done at exactly the same time. How long would it take you to do? That's a better question, really.
