Ok, in the interest of getting things moving, I'll assume Furondum will move up into battle.
Elbert attacks (7 miss) Furondum attacks (17 hit for 4 damage) Hakon attacks (9 miss) Orofer will sneak (31 success) and attack (1+4 miss) Quasmus will throw his dagger (13-4 miss) Amadeus makes his way around to the rear and attacks (6 miss)
The lizard attacks Elbert (2 miss)
Next round initiative goes to the PCs (5), Lizard (2)
Elbert attacks (12 miss) Furondum attacks (18 hit for 6 damage) Hakon attacks (1 miss) Orofer will sneak (53 success) and attack (7+4 miss) Amadeus makes his way around to the rear and attacks (2 miss)
The Lizard attacks Elbert again (8 hit for 9 damage), Elbert crumples to the ground
Next round initiative goes to the PCs (2), Lizard (1)
If Quasmus wanted to do something else that 2nd round that's fine.

Quasmus throws a few days' worth of rations towards the great lizard's flank, hoping to distract it for a moment so the others' attacks might land true. Next chance he gets, he'll lay into it with his 10' pole.

Quasmus drags from the carcass a liver the size of a small hog. "Indeed not! I for one merely threw my rations upon the ground. Poor Furondum here no longer has any use for more than two coins. In any case, it was your mighty blow that felled the beast, Orofer. The prize is yours! May you at last drink your fill!" Quasmus returns to the grisly task at hand.

Quasmus stands and wipes the gore from his hands. "I propose we examine the lair — giant lizard eggs might prove valuable back in town, or serve as a hearty breakfast in a pinch. As for the remains of this one, perhaps we should prepare to haul off the head of the beast as a trophy and shove the rest into the stream.
"Gentlemen armed with spear, polearm, or any old pointy stick should form the vanguard — I myself will join with 10' ft pole, if someone else will carry the lantern."
You make it to the Lizard's lair. Inside, you find a partially eaten lizard corpse, as well as piles of bones, many of which are small but somewhat human looking. Agh Ubar's corpse is almost completely consumed, however, you recognize bits of it from the tattered clothing (and his coin purse with 37 gp).
Scattered throughout the lair is 7000 sp and two 100 gp gems.
