Well, Cale is still on Lizard 2, he hit the thing, and he did damage to it last round. If the lizard is going to ignore that, and try to advance on the guy holding a pole in its way, and if Eric can see that, then Eric can shout at it I suppose. He's really going to be trying to stab it regardless of any other circumstances -- he can't try and hit it *more* to try and distract it. Motivation doesn't increase your 'to hit' chance. On the other hand, if the lizard really *is* ignoring everything else to try and get past a stick-in-the-face, then how about giving me a +2 to hit it?
O.O.C: Sorry, all! Hellishly busy at the moment. Apologies for the delay!
Amadeus is contemplating a heroic dash into melee to pull the wounded clear, but isn't sure the monsters are distracted enough for such an effort to be worthwhile, so he concentrates on saving his own skin keeping a steady light so the warriors in the party can see what they're doing...
OOC: Cale seems to have distracted lizard 2, if you want to run in and drag our comrade away from the fray.
Cale winces from the wound, but presses the attack now that he has the lizard face to face. He'll edge back a bit, luring the beast on, hoping to get it into position where he can duck out of the way as it lunges and allow it to attack its fellow.
(OOC: Yeah, I know, fat chance! But it's something to try, anyway.)
