Nice. Its always hard for me to read screenplays. This will be something I will be on the look out for.

omg general skywalker is kenny rogers! wtf?! Does anyone know where a body can read the original -- the authentic screenplay. Don't want to read someone's silly fanfic version or something that isn't bona fide.

That's a good read, Geoffrey. Thanks for posting.
That was a Zahn concept? I just got around to reading "Foundation", and I noticed that the description of the capital of that Galactic Empire happened to be described exactly the same as Coruscant. I chalked it up to a Lucas cut-and-paste, but if it was Zahn's maybe it was more of a specific homage to Asimov.

I think the idea of an Imperial city-world was Lucas borrowing from Asimov, but the name Coruscant definitely originated with Zahn.

Librarylass is correct. The concept may be an old one, but Zahn came up with the name Coruscant. Zahn also created the Mara Jade character, who has become pretty iconic in the "Extended Universe." What I find interesting about the Star Wars series is that "they" have been careful to make sure everything fits into a single timeline. (With the exception of Splinter of the Mind's Eye, which is a bastard-child instead of a legitimate heir.) With Coruscant, I figured it would remain "offical" until the prequel movies came out but Lucas decided to keep the name and go with it. (That was the problem with Splinter, which was supposed to be a sequel but then became obsolete when Lucas went a different direction with Empire Strikes Back.)
