Here's the link to the short article I did for the Ssa, a primordial race of red serpent people: lakegenevaoriginalrpg.blogspot.com/2012/12/sample-of-ssa-magic-upcoming-combined.htmlThis is part of a highly detailed treatise on these creatures that includes a high level adventure I am crafting to be used with the information. All of this is being included, along with a lot of other matter, in a special combined project that is my current writing focus. Check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks! Rob

Very cool! The Scale of Ssura certainly makes them formidable in a general melee... Now I can;t help but hear the Ssa children fighting - Sister sursesa: MOM, sorssisa is imitating me again! Brother Sorssisa: No I'm not she's lying! Dad Sstorsa: Don't make me come in there and Banish you both! -Mike [I'm going use this race at some point have no fear. ]

Thanks Mike! The written matter for them has grown very large, what with describing them as a race that predates humans. I thought a sampling of their ancient power, integrated as it is with their kind, would be a good start to unveiling it all. The combined project, including this information and the adventure and much more, should be finished in 2 months (I'm hovering around 50,000 words written and it will include at least 8 maps as I've reckoned to this point). It will be 128 pages printed if not more; and I'll of course announce it here and there. Thanks for the encouraging post and for your humorous aside. Rob

Of course the rest of the night I kept wander about details you didn't post like, settlement size in the 3 locations, social structure, and oddly art? What kind of artistic expression do these serpent people employ... Guess I'll have to wait to see the whole thing. -Mike

Ooh, you'll like a concept I came up with for them, a sacred word-idea called d'nss, which has extended meaning in esoteric contexts, such as "bow, serve, or revere". The concept made for a really in depth spell with parts, named "obeisance."
The mages wear pendants, and in there I partially address some of their art; they also have been known to use a strange flute called an "oolog" and have an (as yet( unnamed log-drum, as they are more into percussion instruments. That's their only two, in fact. All of the arts are "currently" centered about the worship of Meta-fir and thus Tuga (=Cthuga q.v.).
