There's a fan endeavor I'm supporting named AFS Magazine by Scott Moberly out of Washington State (see information here.) I like the concept of a magazine not only done out of the basement (reminds me of the time that we were assembling the OD&D brown box sets in Gary's basement right next to his old shoe repair equipment), but one that has a concentration on Weird, Supernatural Dying Earth, Dark Fantasy or a mixture from among these, plus some. So I sent Scott an article from my upcoming work entitled, Advent of the Elder Ones: Mythos vs. Man in the Lake Geneva Original Campaign, 1973-1976 . It's medium length and goes into detail about how my biggest story arc in our original shared Greyhawk campaign became inextricably aligned with, and influenced by, CA Smith's and Lovecraft's stories. As well I am sending AFS a new mythos monster out of the many I created BitD and as soon as I complete it (now working). All of this is for issue #2. Check out his magazine. It's a labor of love, not expensive, and it can only betoken more goodness to come. ADMIN EDIT: Tweaked the link.

I should finish the monster tonight: the Muyoss. Also awaiting with great expectations the arrival of your game/world! Anything dealing with other than prancing about green fields has always been my cup o' tea.

By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth!
Okay, I just sent him $5 for #1. I think I want to get involved, too, in some capacity. The attitude of this project, the inspirational sources -- it truly resonate with me. As a fellow game writer who also prints and coil binds his own material in the wee hours of the night, I can appreciate AFS on many levels. Thanks for alerting me to it, Rob. Cheers, Jeff T. PS: I'm a little backlogged, Rob, so please forgive me, but it might take me a few weeks before I mail you a copy of my game.

And it isn't like I can't wait... ::checks calendar:: I thought of you when I first interfaced with this. Serendipity? May the Twice Uttered Curses of the Mi-Go Resonate Beyond Your Ears!RJK

May the Twice Uttered Curses of the Mi-Go Resonate Beyond Your Ears! Oh, you mean that space between my ears, the great divide, the vast, unyielding hollow? You see, the grey matter that once resided therein is presently in a jar and en route to Yuggoth, no thanks those pesky Mi-Go. If I only had a brain, da-dum, da-dum, da-dum . . .

That's Funnnnnny... Actually I really meant BEYOND and not inside. Ich. Grey matter (makes san check) I hope the Mi-Go pickled it so that it doesn't spoil during the trip... Speaking of Beyond...This darn muyoss critter keeps growing as I write. Now to its reflectorized boreal body (say that 10 times fast and win another trip to Yuggoth!) R.

I liked AFS #1 when I checked it out earlier in the year, so I'm pleased to hear that #2 is proceeding along

I got my copy of #1 and am reading it as time permits. Scanned everything, though. Okay, This is a peeve with me, so don't take it as too critical: Page numbers. Need them. They can be skipped for map/full illo. pages, but if you're laying these out in Word, it's easy to insert these. Otherwise looks good.
