I finally got around to buying several of Rob Kuntz' Pied Piper products and can't wait for them to arrive! Everything I've read seems to indicate that these really fit the "old school" model in that they are pretty much the same thing as was played "back in the day" and it sounds like there are some notes about the early campaigns therein. Can't wait!

The only one I own is Bottle City, and it is AWESOME. It is one of the best modules of all time. It is almost exactly the format I'd love to see for the whole of the dungeons of Castle Greyhawk.

Bottle City is one of the products I ordered, along with The Stalk (looked like a fun one-shot adventure) and a couple of others. Basically I looked for anything that looked like an "original campaign" product. :-)

The Original Living Room (which is basically one dungeon encounter) is also a thing of beauty.

I think I ordered that one as well. I'm really excited about these and hope the post office hurries it up a little...

I've written reviews of all the PPP products over at Grognardia. They're all good, although there's no question that Bottle City is the best of the bunch by a long shot. The company seems to moving toward doing more original products, which I'm a bit wary of. I personally would prefer that they stick with providing materials associated with the early days of the hobby, as that's a niche they're uniquely qualified to occupy.

I personally would prefer that they stick with providing materials associated with the early days of the hobby, as that's a niche they're uniquely qualified to occupy. Looking the opposite way around, if anything (hopefully): the first two, CotSK & ToB, were "original". There's a large amount of "early days" material to work with, too, so it would seem strange to be aiming more away from that, especially after the feedback for Bottle City.

All good points worth raising on Rob's boards, so that he knows what everyone wants PPP to produce

I purchased "Cairn of the Skeleton King" and its sequel "Tower of Blood" last year. Pretty cool First Edition adventures. Jim Holloway's art was the icing on the cake! Cant wait for all the new PPP releases this year!

Atom, both of those are out of print now, right? I should have picked up copies when they were in limited run release..... :-(

Atom, both of those are out of print now, right? I should have picked up copies when they were in limited run release..... :-( Akk.. $71; not so good... I'd thought Ian was asking less (thanks to the weak currency over here recently) but his copies have gone it seems. Has been rather up-and-down on prices for those. The "runic" copies started strong ($100-150) and the standard edition low (?$25-40) and they ended up almost meeting in the middle at around $60-80 before starting to diverge again a little. Or so I'd thought. Definitely something to be said for ordering "on spec", alas. d.
