It seems like everyone down to the guy who cleaned the bathrooms at TSR has been interviewed at least once or twice, yet I can't find any interviews with Kuntz. Does he just not like to give interviews, or are my search skills just that poor?

Not sure, but Rob sometimes posts in the "Gaming in Lake Geneva" section so maybe he'll have something to say about it. Maybe no one ever asked.
I'm moving this post into that section to increase the chance that he'll run into it.

Off the top of my head, these are the interviews I can think that Rob has done: - Oerth Journal 14 @ dl.dropbox.com/u/5851594/Downloads_Section/Oerth_Journal/OJ_14.pdf (I conducted that interview ) - ENWorld (I can't seem to find it via google now, perhaps it was in the short-lived ENWorld magazine?) - ASGI @ www.asgi.co.uk/interview.htm (404s now, and not in the Internet Archive ) - I'm pretty sure Rob did some other interviews during the time of his work with Necromancer Games, too, but would have to do some serious digging to see if any of those survive - Rob was interviewed (along with Tadashi Ehara) at GenCon 2004 for some film documentaries that failed to see fruit (I don't recall if this was Dragons in the Basement or some other film archive/documentary, but it was one in which the documentary crew were interviewing a lot of RPG developers/designers) - I'm fairly sure Rob was also interviewed by another film documentary crew, but perhaps it was just two sessions with the above crew When we talk next, I'll ask if he remembers the other interviews he's done, and see if we can compile a list/archive.

He’s had by far the strongest and longest-lasting internet presence of any old-time TSR figure that I know of, so it’s not like he’s an unknown quantity waiting in the wings! Though admittedly that could just be my impression from having followed him for so long.

I was mostly hoping for audio interviews, since I can listen while I work. I've really been enjoying some of the more in-depth conversations that have been cropping up lately. Here's a thought: maybe next year someone should just record the entire duration of the NTRPG Con for those of us who can't attend.

They did video the con again this year, although they didn't get the streaming working for live footage. Ping Doug on the NTX boards to see if he's got the video encoded and posted yet.

thanks for the tip. Listened to about half of the Early Days of Gaming panel the other day, and there was some really good stuff in there.
Sadly, most of the actual gaming sessions suffer from unlistenable audio, but I'll keep digging.
