Don’t know if you guys have ever seen this: “Had Abbadon was … a proposed name for the Imperial capital—later identified as Coruscant—which appeared in early drafts of Return of the Jedi. It was meant to be a city-planet orbited by two Death Stars under construction, and the Green Moon, later renamed Jus-Endor (which would later become Endor). Its lowest levels were meant to be home to Emperor Palpatine's throne room, surrounded by a lake of lava, around which Luke Skywalker would duel Darth Vader.” SourceAbaddon

Yep, I have seen it before. I've read that version of the script, in fact. The shuttle seen there is Leia and her crew sneaking past to land on the green moon on a sabotage mission, and is the opening scene of the script. In this version, she was not part of the rescue team sent to rescue Han, and instead was taking care of Alliance business.
Interesting stuff, some that I prefer to the final film, though it was awkward in some ways, too. But I do like the concept of the final showdown with the Emperor happening on the Imperial capital world, and in hellish surroundings.
