<< I have not been getting notifications AT ALL from this board. I may not be able to continue playing if I can't get the blasted thing to send me notifications. Sorry I've been out of communication... >>
Just drop in once a day. Takes 2 minutes. 5 minutes if you want to post something.
Yeah, but I have to remember. I don't remember much these days... real life and all. A ping to tell me something has happened is critical to me keeping up.
Seeing Renardo about to open the door, Ozmar urges caution "Wait, that door looks quite like the on which the slime was behind earlier, perhaps we should try opening it from a distance again- we don't want any more tragic losses."
At Ozmar's warning, Renardo stops trying to force the door (luckily it didn't open then, heehee ;D). "Hmmmm, I suppose you are right Brother Ozmar. Somebody hand me a rope.".
Assuming somebody does so, Renardo will secure the rope to the door, then proceed to retreat with the other end down the corridor (if the door is hinged on the right, we will go right; or head left if hinged on the left). Again, Renardo will take the fore position (closest to the door) and encourage all other party members to grab hold. "On my mark, 1... 2... 3... HEAVE!"
(How close Renardo is to the door will depend on how many people are pulling, assuming a 50' rope)
The door will open to the left so you will be pulling back to the stairs to the warehouse, about 30' away
OK, I am going to put Renardo, Ozmar and Carlo on the rope, all about 30' away. Guarding them will be Jaako with his sling, standing at the T-junction by the narrow passage (just in front of the pullers). Brumbar and Valandil are ready with flasks and oil, about level with Jaako. Moziah will watch to the West for bad guys
Heaving, and straining, you force the stuck door open with a squealing of stressed wood and a SLAM! as it opens fully and hits the wall. The force dislodges a huge slug that was stuck to the door, chewing its way through the wood. It plops into the shallow water, then orients itself, its antennae twitching as it looks at you. The slug looks like a snail without a shell, and is probably as long as a man is tall.
What do you do?

Taking advantage of the slug's disorientation, Brumbar throws a knife and Jaako slings a bullet, giving cover to Renardo's and Ozmar's splashing dash towards the slug. Carlo draws his sword but stays back, protecting the archers, while Valandil and Moziah watch for untoward eventualities.
Both missiles strike true, and the slug writhes in pain, and then the militant clerics renew the assault. Ozmar notices his flail end flash a quick, short blue as it strikes home, while Renardo's silver morning star is more prosaic but thuds home decidedly nicely.
Although beaten quite badly, the slug tries to fight back, and rears up. You now realize this is no slug, but a giant blood-sucking leech! It attempts to attach itself to Renardo, but his armor defeats the assault.
