The Plough and Furrow
Accommodations are arranged with Albert, and by mid afternoon he has all six room cleaned, aired, and at your disposal.
There are four bedsits, each with a single bed and an additional mattress laid out upon the the floor, and two regular rooms, each with two beds and an additional mattress laid out upon the floor.
All of the rooms are up a single flight of stairs, and are more-or-less above the common room. They each have a small square window, a simple wardrobe and a trunk at the foot of each bed, and a tiny round table with one (the bedsits) or two (the rooms) chairs. They look basic, but clean and comfortable. The doors have a simple wooden latch to lock them from the inside.
Those remaining at The Plough can take their pick of the rooms, or go about whatever other business they have in town.
Is anyone going to look for more permanent abode?

Olaf would, but I think he's still baby sitting the bulk of the coin. If so, he will head upstairs, pick out a bed in a regular room and make himself comfortable. OTOH, if the coin has already been divided and everyone has run off with their own share Olaf will make his way to the market and try to find a money changer. He wants to convert the coppers to silver pieces for easier carrying. Once he accomplishes that he will ask around the market for villas for rent or lease.

My understanding is that the coin has been allocated into shares. Some PCs have already been off spending some of their loot. Others have left their loot at The Plough. Olaf (and others) could, if desired, stow the remaining shares of coins in the foot lockers in the rooms. edit: Proboards almost tricked me into the US spelling of Plough!

(I thought the coin in question was the chest of gold coins resulting from the sale of the necklace... or has that been divided, as well?)

Gustave (having spent the most) could afford his shopping trip without resorting to his share of the silver from the sale of the necklace. I'll assume that the same holds true for everyone else, and therefore that all of the silver from the sale of the necklace is still tucked safely away in the coin box at The Plough and Furrow.

Hum, well, Olaf is paranoid...:)...he doesn't trust the foot locker in a room with a window and a flimsy lock on the door without someone with a sword sitting on top of it. He thinks the coin needs an armed guard over it until some place much safer can be found or it. Plow? Well, it might not be the generally accepted US spelling, but unless I am mis-remembering plough is how my elementary teachers taught me to spell that word. Right here in the good ol' USA.

OoC: both noun forms are used in the US, although plow is the more common spelling for the verb, perhaps strangely. And for modern terms, e.g. snowplow.

" Do you need a hand friend, you seem left with a lot of stuff. I can help guard it with you?", says Wibert with a smile on his face. " I can be trusted he adds. Shown by Ulric giving me the items to drop off at the temple", he quickly adds and sits down with a sword in his hand. " I look forward to getting my dagger back tomorrow, as a sword is a big big to use around town easily." Wibert will plan what he needs to buy next. OOC: What time is it now?

Highbough is like a kid in a candy shop. "Ulric what do we do next?"

Ulric and Highbough; the Concourse Library
Ulric and Highbough can each undertake research of their choice. They have two unidentified items (the spear and the potion bottle) whose purpose they could uncover, or else they could research new spells, or else other lore or their choice.
What to do?

There is as much time as you want to take. So long as you can fund your activities. Presumably Highbough would like to start researching the spear? In which case I will assume that Ulric will pursue the potion...

Ulric does indeed take the potion and begins his research. He first consults the Abridged Tongues of the Underworld which he holds in his possession to see if he can find similar writing to that engraved on the flask.

Highbough begins research on the spear. For starters he takes note of its materials, decorations, method of construction, likely age, and distinguishing features. Then he checks these facts against the available literature.

Ulric and Highbough; the Concourse Library
By the steady little flames of the pair of lanterns they have do Ulric and Highbough set about their research...
The Concourse Library is mainly an archive of legal proceedings, treatise, trade agreements and so on. However, already known to Ulric, is the smaller collection of tomes and scrolls relevant to the pursuit of a more obscure arcana, and this is where the pair begin their meditations.
In no time at all they are completely consumed amid the dusty shelves of tomes and scrolls and piles of ancient paperworks... Ulric [1d6=6!] and Highbough [1d6=6!].
Six hours seems to pass in a blink, but the afternoon is fully gone, and the evening well and truly begun before the duo each have uncovered what they seek. By this time hunger is gnawing insistently at their bellies, and a genuine thirst parches their throats.
But they have knowledge (check your messages).

The Plough and Furrow
Ulric and Highbough are at the Concourse library.
Josiane, Dorgan, Guntram, Desmond/Mondes, and Gustave are at the cemetery.
Everybody else is settling into the rooms at The Plough and making comfortable for the afternoon... looking forward to a good night's rest (and levelling up!).

Highbough whistles a jaunty Elf tune as he catches Ulric's attention and points his chin in the direction of the Plough and Furrow.

Ulric nods his approval and collects his things.
"There will be time enough for more studying later. Now let's go get some food and some more rest. I intend to be back here tomorrow."
Back to the Plough and Furrow.

Once back at the Plow & Furrow, Highbough keeps to himself and eats his supper in silence.
When he has a private moment alone with Ulric, he will inquire: "How fared you with the potion? I have identified the spear; its magic may help keep this old Elf alive a bit longer yet!"

I have identified the spear; its magic may help keep this old Elf alive a bit longer yet!" If Olaf runs into others of the party downstairs while he is eating his supper he will tell them that he has rented rooms for everyone, "We'll be two or three to a room, but we'll all have good soft beds to rest our head upon. I plan to make good use of that bed, too!" he concludes with a grin and a wink.

Ulric also gets himself some food and ale once back at the inn.
"The potion has some interesting qualities," he says to Highbough. "If my sources prove accurate it can transform the drinker into the form of any person or creature. A most useful concoction in our line of work to be sure."
"What manner of enchantment does your spear have to save your life?"

I look forward to demonstrating it in battle."
