Flandil's polite question to Hargor elicits a stream of profanity, complaining of everything under the sun. You get tired of it, and interrupt his flow with a concession to let them have Kell's and Flandil's rooms. I don't quite understand, Makofan. Who was complaining to whom, about what? Since I'm up and in the mood to post, I'll clarify. Hargor is known as "Hargor the Complainer". He was asked if he ran into any hardships on the road, so I'll imagine that he began to complain about being saddle sore, the food, the company, the weather, the lack of women, the indignity of not having his tired muscles massaged yet being such an important man, etc. He's basically a big jerk ;D ;D

I think perhaps we should make camp well off the road, our route to the dungeon is not really a trail (probably follows some game trails, but definitely not a trail anyone without some information from a guide would be able to follow), so if we find a good camping spot along it, we should not have any problems. If we rise early in the morn, we should be able to beat Hargor to the dungeon. In daylight we should be able to make the dungeon in less than 6 hours (we should have traveled at least an hour of the 6-8 hour time along the road, and this will be the third time we've taken the route). This idea works splendidly, your camp is undisturbed for the night, and you rise early. By noon you can see the small tower that you captured months ago.

We will signal the folks in the tower (I assume we set up some kind of signal) to check that all is ok before approaching.

Emilio and Carrington are alive and well, and holding out. There have been very few excursions from the ruins and towers, and none have attacked them

Then he will look around the stronghold.

Flandil presses the urgency of arriving at Gorlminder ahead of Hargor.

"Let Us think A moment my friends. I think it is safe to assume that Hagor and company were the people that passed us and bought the horses from the goblins. If he had that kind of head start on us i think we can assume that he either does not know were the sword is or he is waiting for us to get it out, suffer damage while getting it and then ambushing us on the way out. We may want to let him go in and the ambush him. Just a thought."

"I'm not a big fan of ambushing people, but this Hargor seems to be asking for it..."

Gallaine is surprised that the Lordling's company did not come by this tower. They must have seen it, must they not?
She offers Emilio and Carrington her wineskin and asks them whether or not they have had any visitors... or seen anyone riding by.

Kell scratches his beard and observes, "There was a party that entered the Goblin's village and swapped horses...they were ahead of us by a few hours. Then this party with King Hargor arrives at the village behind us by several hours. Unless Hargor and his bunch left the road and idled around half a day they would have arrived here well before we did....right?"
"Could there be two groups? One that was ahead of his into the Gobo's village and has since gone...who knows where...and Hargor's bunch that was behind us all the way?" Kell asks.
"Oh, and another thing." Kell raises his finger, "Just how well known are these ruins and this dungeon? Is Hargor, or anybody else, going to be able to come right to them, or are they going to have to search around to find them?"

Yhency would prefer to head to the dungeon first rather than trying to take on Hargor in an ambush. "Maybe we can get the two swords and come back out before he's even made it in."

The dungeon/ruins are not very well known, but enough townsfolk have heard of them that Hargor should know a route there by now

"Kell is correct, there may already be another party there right now. Our best chance is to retrieve the swords ourselves immediately, and deal with whatever consequences there may be after." ((I forgot to mention, the previous night, Flandil would like to revise his spell list in preparation for Gorlminder, I hope it's not too late (1st) Light, Hold Portal, Charm Person, Sleep; (2nd) Levitate, Locate Object ))
