I'm curious about how a coupe of things worked out in actual play:
1) Armor class being almost wholly dependent on ability scores
2) Psioic abilities based on a % chance rather than a point system or number of times per day
3) Keeping the game true to the spirit of Barsoom, but not railroading the players into specific plots/locations.

I'd also like to hear about others' experiences, as I'd like to do this someday.
Of course, I have to familiarize my players with Barsoom first. That's the trouble with my players - none of them read the same stuff I do!

After a couple of days with no response here and only Grey Elf's on my blog, I've concluded that no one has really actually played Warriors and Mars.

Those are just Doc’s house rules. It’s a handy document, but at the end of the day, my hunch is everyone just house rules it on their own. In other words, probably only Doc can answer your questions!

Ah, that makes sense now, Falconer. Thanks.
I was wondering if one on was wanting to response because of my terrible grammar in the subject bar (ran out of available character, sorry)

I'm working up some scenarios for a Warriors of Mars setting that I'll be running in 2012. Rules-wise, I'm going to riff off of Doc's house rules a bit, but will probably use AD&D as a jumping off point instead of OD&D since I play the former on a regular basis. But I like the monster workups in the OD&D Barsoom supplement. Having that close at hand saves quite a bit of work.
