Welcome aboard! gloriousbattle STR7 INT10 WIS12 DEX15 CON10 CHA10 Hmm. Coupla questions. First off, with these stats, I don't think I can be anything at all -even if I 2/1 modify my stats- unless the various races are also allowed the standard classes like thief and fighter. If not, then either the minimum parameters required need to be lowered, or there has to ba a more points-generous chargen system. Advice here? Also, are we playing on Original D&D Discussion, or another website? Thanks for including me!

There are several classes with no minimum requirements: Kobold Bandito & Kobold Trainer, Orc Shaman & Orc Thug, and Xvart Inquisitor & Xvart Warlock. There are several others that have only a single requirement that you either already meet, or can get to fairly easily - everything is on page 1 of this thread. The game will be played here - Fin will eventuaally move it to the PbP section.

Well, you could be a Kobold, Orc, Xvart, or Goblin Footpad (there my be some others too) with no modification at all.

I guess I was thinking in terms of being able to play a bugbear, but you're right. Outside that box, there is plenty I could do.

Here are some probably wildly unbalanced Ogre throwing rules that will probably need a lot of adjustment...
Ogres can throw smaller creatures, rules as follows:
Throwing Enemies Human-size or smaller Grabbing requires a successful hit, which does no damage Victim must save vs. paralysis (Halflings, Goblins, and similar small folk save with -2 penalty); save means they squirm free, fail means they get tossed If victim has a bite/sting/touch attack, they get an attack prior to throw – hit means the throw is spoiled and Ogre takes damage as normal Roll d12 for direction, roll 4d6+6 for distance (x2 for small folk), take 1d10 damage for each 10' thrown (minimum 1d10, round down, i.e. 19ft. = 1d10) Anyone hit by someone who is thrown takes 1d4 damage for each 10' the victim was thrown (minimum 1d4, round down) Try not to hit your friends when you throw enemies!
Throwing Friends Small folk only Buddy must be standing next to the Ogre Choose target, max range 60' (1-20' no penalty, 21-40' -2 to hit, 41-60' -4 to hit), roll to hit as normal On hit, target takes 1d4 damage per 10' buddy is thrown (minimum 1d4, round down); if buddy has melee weapon, roll to hit, a hit gives double damage from weapon (critical gives x4 damage); no damage to buddy on successful hit On miss, buddy takes 1d4 damage per 10' thrown (minimum 1d4, round down) and must save vs. paralysis or be stunned for 1d4 rounds Kill by Ogre-toss will cause all enemies to immediately check vs. morale Kill by Ogre-toss gets x2 XP for tosser and tossee!
I'll wait a little longer for gloriousbattle to post a character, but I'm looking to get started no later than Thursday.

Also, if you add a little background/fluff to your characters, I will try to work some of those elements into future adventures.
I dig the blood-red Bugbear!

For those of you with low INT and/or WIS scores, I expect those abilities to be roleplayed accordingly. No brilliant flanking maneuvers, deft diplomacy, or the like. Transgressors will be subjected to my custom dumba$$ PC rules, inspired by the old Ork mental illness rules from Warhammer 40K: www.dragonsfoot.org/php4/archive.php?sectioninit=CD&fileid=252

Could I be a half-orc thief? Assuming we are using the LL companion?

Could I be a half-orc thief? Assuming we are using the LL companion? No, the only classes I'm using are the custom ones from the beginning of this string.

I hate to do this but i think I'm going to drop.Blue Tongue was already a pretty hopeless character, but with the added handicap of having to act dumb, or suffer the chart I just don't think I'd have any fun waiting for the inevitable.

I hate to do this but i think I'm going to drop.Blue Tongue was already a pretty hopeless character, but with the added handicap of having to act dumb, or suffer the chart I just don't think I'd have any fun waiting for the inevitable. At INT8, Blue Tongue is practically the Rhodes Scholar of the group! The chart is more bluff than anything, and PCs with low INT/WIS don't have to walk into walls, talk to their belly button, or stick their hands in fires. Most of the entries are slightly ridiculous. I'm going to get things started later today - I hope you stick around to give it a try!
