The Walled City of Verbosh
Verbosh is nestled along the banks of “The Great Source”, the major river of the continent. This impressive fortress was built by Lord Verbosh I, who conquered a kingdom of maybe 40,000 square kilometres. His offspring failed to carry on his legacy – Verbosh II was killed opposing a force of kobolds fully half his numbers. Verbosh XXI eventually lost the kingdom in a dice game. Since then Verbosh has been ruled by whoever is rich enough and merciless enough to retain power. Hargor the Complainer is the current ruler.
Military Makeup
The city is built on a man-made island just off the west bank of the river. All walls are 10’ thick. The outer wall is 40’ high with 9 towers – 3 of them at the drawbridge. Each tower has 15 heavy foot,12 light crossbowmen and a ballista.
