Hi, bought a couple of issues the other week, and love the magazine. I have some questions.
1. If you order the print versions, is there a way you can get the .pdf versions also? or do you have to purchase them twice?
2. I have some material I'd love to submit for publication. Are there writers guidelines somewhere?
3. I saw something about a hardcover collection. Do these exist? If so, where do I order them?

These were temporary deals, although I suppose they might come back later.

Thanks for the replies. In an order having nothing to do with the original order of my questions.
First: send it in where.
Second: I am pretty much only interested in picking up anthologies (hardcover!) of the earlier issues instead of individual magazines. Wear and Tear, don't you know. Is there some reason to not always have them available on Lulu?
Third: Is the whole print/pdf thing a money grab? or is it a technical issue. I love having the physical issues, but the things that I will use in play are useless unless I can print them off of .pdf and add them to my gaming notebook.
Thanks for all the replies!

Hi Valis!
Send your submissions to me at calithena or ignatius at iggyumlaut, both at gmail. We don't have formal 'submissions guidelines' but we'd love to see your work in whatever form it's in. We just got a cool brown paper envelope from a guy in Berkeley with wonderful old dungeons from the eighties...that is fine, as is perfectly formatted electronic documents that can be plugged into the mag without modification.
The hardcovers will be probably be back but they are not available as a regular item. Reasons are complicated but I will come back and explain them - have a 12 hour work day stretching before me at my real job right now. They have been released twice with unique covers each time - each one is effectively a collectible. (Which reminds me, I have to dredge up the old thread on the first contest so that people who bought the hardcovers the second time around know how many there are in existence.)
The PDF policy is complicated and has been a headache from the beginning. The reason it is the way it is is basically to encourage print sales. I am not sure it works to do that though. We make about $1 per issue on the print sales, this is a fanzine and not a for-profit enterprise, although happily we've been successful enough that the thing pays for itself and even supports some contests (another one coming soon!).
I can get you some deals on PDFs if you bought the print issues though. Tell me which print issues you bought in the email with your submissions and we'll work something out.
More tomorrow!
Best,
"Calithena"
