Hi! We have just released "The House On The Hill" module for Metamorphosis Alpha 1st edition. This is currently available from RPGNow, and some extra resources will be available from our forums, and RPGNow in the near future. If you do pick up a copy, we'd love to hear what you think of the product, good or bad so that we can improve it and other products in the future. Craig J. Brain

I'd just like to toss in that I've seen a draft version of The House on the Hill and I think it's a winner! It's designed to be compatible with the 1976 1E Metamorphosis Alpha rules set, which is my personal favorite version of the game. Plus, this version of the module has some content written by James Ward himself! (Always a bonus for folks interested in Metamorphosis Alpha the way it was done "back in the day.")

It's just wrong when a module has more than twice the page count of the entire game's rules.

Umm. No idea. Module says its 37 pages, MA's a fair few more pages than 18.5... Although even so I wouldn't see the problem.

MA1e's 32 pages, and of the 36 or 37 pages comprising the book, only about 16 are the sample adventure. The remainder is a mix of tables and forms or maps to allow people to design their own RHMDUs. Some copies have already been ordered in advance, so I can't answer that question definitively. For the most part I would treat it as a POD product. It is the first printed official adventure module for MA. As for the quality, I am pleased with it and have been told that others are too. However, I wrote it and may not be completely impartial. I think that if I were to do the adventure again, I would have the maps redone, but I have also been told by some that they like them just fine. I guess it is a matter of taste. On RPGNow there's a review of the adventure, and unfortunately it is the only review I know of to date. It is a positive review and I like it, but a few more would be helpful. I've only had one print issue with CreateSpace, and that was an error that resulted in a lot of laughs. I am impressed with the quality of the printing and happy with the adventure. Craig J. Brain

I just put up reviews at both RPGNow and Amazon. It's a great adventure in PDF and I'm going to order the print version soon.

Got my print version in the mail yesterday. (My review was all based on the PDF.) I like the way it turned out. Blue maps, nice interior line art, reminds me of old TSR style stuff. I sure wish MA modules had been released "back in the day." The game might have picked up more steam back then.
