Jason -
Thanks for the excellent work on your Age of Conan and Secrets of Acheron supplements. They have inspired me to start a new Conan campaign (with a heaping dose of Carcosa thrown in ;D ) after taking a few years off from the Hyborian Age. We had a great two year long campaign using the Roelmaster Standard System and the Mongoose source material.
Anyway, my question is which stat generation method is used for your supplement? Your game summaries stated that you use the Greyhawk method, but the supplement lists Greyhawk as optional, thus inferring that Men & Magic rules apply.
If you are using Greyhawk and the extra racial bonuses listed in your supplement, that seems to be a lot of modifiers for 2d6 resolution. How has it gone in actual play?
Once again, thank you for your work!

Whatever stat generation method you prefer is what you should use. Since the heroes in a Hyborian Age campaign are a cut above the norm, even for heroes, I believe in my game we used 4d6 keep 3, arrange to taste, as is typical for later editions. The game is working fantastically in actual play. The only tweak I've made is to how corruption works, and I have covered that on my blog. Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks for the response Jason. I apologize, but I actually mis-worded my question. What I meant to ask is whether or not Age of Conan is supposed to use Greyhawk ability bonuses. I had waayy too many outside interruptions while I was trying to make that post!

Yes, AoC uses Greyhawk ability bonuses.

Thanks again Jason! That's kind of what I figured from your blog.
Also, I really appreciate your section on Chainmail combat. While the OD&D Chainmail rules compilation helped me learn the rules, your stuff is an awesome example of how to really put those rules to use. Mass Combat for mooks is particularly ingenious. It seems to add a bit of a Savage Worlds feel to OD&D.
