You know how you plan a session and think, "Ok, this will happen, and this will happen, and then they'll go here?" Lots of times, the party will get to the first part, and that's when things start taking detours and sharp right turns. I didn't think I'd have the town watch show up and extort the party for hush money to keep Chaos manifestations on the DL, but hey, such is life in the Big City...and they haven't even reached the City-State of the Invincible Overlord yet!

"In Search of the Unknown" Campaign Session #16:
Chapter 2 - In Search of the City-State of the Invincible Overlord #2
Proteus 6, a chaos bard, and Shaggy go to Dark Harbor. They are looking for trouble, and find it. After getting cussed out by dock workers, they meet some tough, drunk gentlemen. Proteus gets pantsed and tossed into the harbor for his troubles.
They eventually enter the Troll's Teats and find exceedingly ordinary dancing wenches. Proteus impresses Trixie by causing an eye to work in one of her non-functioning sockets. She is very impressed with him. Shaggy convinces Ariadne to come adventuring with them by paying her family for her missed time away from work. Proteus also pays Throg, a two-headed Cyclops who happens to be the girls' employer, for the time off they'd be missing for him. They guys take their new-found wenches back to the Typical Streetwalker.
In the morning, the coachmen tell the party that additional passengers on the coach would incur a 5 gold piece fare. Proteus agrees to sign a notarized voucher but tries to forge it. The innskeeper catches it and yells for the town watch. The watch arrives and forces the party to sign a true note and also forces the party to pay 10 MORE gold in exchange for keeping quiet about Proteus' antlers that sprouted on his head.
Finally on the road, the coach heads out of Kirby. They stay the first night at a kindly farmer's stead and enjoy home-cooked meals prepared with lots and lots of love. Leaving the next morning with many egg sammitches in their knapsacks, they party continues their voyage south to the City-State. The second day passes uneventfully, and they prepare for the night camping in the open.
Voltron notices figures moving toward them, and the party is soon beset by werewolves. Silas' wardogs fling themselves into the fray and are quickly mangled. Only Beth's silver arrows seem to affect the enemy, as Silas' bodyguard and Tig make attacks which instantly heal. Voltron is able to cast his stolen spell again, and two lycanthropes see a phantasmal dragon scorch them with dragonfire. Two more werewolves flee the fray. Proteus was able to warp reality to engulf the remaining two, and the party survives the issue with remarkable ease.
Finding a nearby hole in the ground, the party takes an overly cautious approach until the DM tells them there's nothing that will harm them in the hole. Searching the cave, they find sacks tucked into the back of the chamber. It reveals a stash of gold in excess of 3000 gold pieces. Proteus senses something calling out to him on the other side of the chamber. A floating skull repeatedly telling him to "Take me." Proteus instead attempts to hit it with his wand. The skull then disappeared. The party then rested again for the night because the DM had to go to Hooters to watch a Pay Per View.
