Has anyone else seen Sky Galleons of Mars? While not strictly ERB's Barsoom, it does have some nifty little ship miniatures that would work well with Warriors of Mars or other OD&D Barsoom type campaigns. (It's actually made to go along with Space 1889, which is "Victorian England invades Mars" but is probably close enough to make the minis workable. )

OH YEAH! I loved the game! I'm still glad you can buy it too! RAFM still makes all the old figures and has released about a half dozen new figures this year alone. Actually you could do D&D on Mars, with the Martians as normal character types fairly easily. After all they were at a medieval technology in the past, and are in the future too! Another great set of figures is from Parroom Station. These are similar, but lack the armored martians that RAFM makes.
If I was running a Martian game with the Space: 1889 Martians, the fighting man and thief can be used as is. Clerics and Magic Users could be some kind of mystics, and evil ones could be members of the evil cultt of the worm! Barbarians are obviously steppe nomads and the High Martians. Actually this is sounding better all the time.... Oh man I think you got me wanting to do a new miniatures project!

Either go the www.theminiaturespage.com and check their list of manufacturers or try www.rafm.com I think the second one is right, but I have been known to be wrong. Parroom Station is carried by The London War Room. Check TMP for this listing as well.

Oh crud, I knew I forgot something. Check out Bronze Age Miniatures at TMP too. They have a line of "Dead Earth" figures that resemble ERB's Barsoomians. Oh yeah, Parroom has some nice figures that would work for Barsoom too!

Heritage had an entire line of John Carter of Mars minis, IIRC, but I can't find any links from the folks who own the Dungeon Dwellers/etc. lines....

I'm preparing to raid Sky Galleons for my own Shattered Planet OD&D campaign (it has floating island nations and I like sky galleons, so they seemed to be the best choice for international travel).

Regarding the Heritage Barsoom line: Forget it! ERB's estate holds the rights at the very least for the line. Maybe the molds too, knowing how tight fisted they are. Nobody has molds for these that I am aware of. Sometimes you can find lots on Ebay but that is about it.
