I am very happy with the PCs you guys have been creating. It'll be a real pity that many won't last long ;-)

Ordinarily I would confidently predict that one of those mayflies would be me, but just last night ofr the first time ever I had a low-level old-school PC survive the session in which I created him (as Broozer Bear can attest!) So even though Locfir has only one hit point, I persist in believing that he's in it for the long haul.

I do love the 5 str fighter above, that is bad ass and a very bold character choice. A toast to Ursus the Weak! He's even wearing leather armour! ;D His 8 hp should help a lot with survivability, though.

Reverance Pavane's Character #1
E(rwin) R(eginald) "Grimey" Stubbs
STR 8 INT 13 WIS 10 CON 9 DEX 10 CHA 7
HP: 2
"Grimey," as he is known to his friends, is a malnourished pox-marked youth from Adamas where he was a member of a street gang. Not one of the most dextrous of the gang, he usually kept watch while the other gang members did the actual larceny. One time their haul included this gem-encrusted book. After the gems were pried off, the book was discarded by the rest of the gang, but picked up by Grimey. After all, he had a secret vice: reading. Unfortunately the book didn't make much sense, until he tried to sound out the letters (as he had been taught in Temple school) and ... something happened. Suddenly he could understand, not just the words on that page, but the actual meaning behind them. Read Magic. A spell. Unbenownst to everyone, including himself, he was actually Gifted. A magic user.
Wanting to better his lot (and realising that the gang had accidentally burgled the residence of a mage), he decided he had better get out of town fast. He'd heard rumours that something had been found up north and parties of adventurers were seeking to exploit the great treasures lying therein. And he wanted his share.
ALIGNMENT: Neutral (civilization never cared about me, why should I care about it)
LANGUAGES: Common (will try to learn other languages as he goes, not having had the opportunity before)
SPELLS KNOWN: Read Magic, Sleep, Charm, Read Languages, Detect Magic
EQUIPMENT: 1 worn Leather Backpack 1 Week Iron rations 2 week normal rations 1 Battered Lantern 2 Flasks Lantern Oil 2 Daggers 1 Battered Spellbook Worn Trousers, Torn Tunic, Soft Shoes. Pouch with 10 gp.

Issa Shield-brother Fighting-Man HP:2 AC:4/5

Gold: 20 gp
Equipment: Spear Round Shield Chain mail. Longsword Backpack Iron Rations x2 Standard rations 3 x Torches 3 sacks small pot candle flint and steel 2 Wineskins (1 water, 1 wine)
Issa Shieldbrother was the child of a slave who managed to distinguish himself by saving his owner from a raider. Issa used his prodigious strength to pull the raider off the horse, dropping the raider straight down on to his head. The warband was recently disbanded, and Issa is looking for adventure and wealth.
Issa is relatively unwell, looking a little grey and palid, but with wide shoulders and a strong build, he's able to anchor the shield wall. His hair is brown, and his eyes green. He affects the start of a warrior's mustaches.

I'm sorry - I know at 15 int. I get 6 spells in my spellbook, but a little confounded on how many I have ready to go. Is it Read Magic plus one other? If so, I have RM and Shield. If I have RM and 2 (which up to now I thought was the case) then I have sleep in addition to that.

I'm starting a roster of characters known to adventure in Dwimmermount as part of an experiment in mega-dungeon publication that takes advantage of tools like Google, the OGL, and the iPad that 1974 thought would still require thousand-ton computers. I hope you'll help me enter Locfir's fellow adventurers into the roster, and let me know at the Mages of the Mountain if you'd like to play them again on G+!
