Looks like we have a new player!
Amalric, any ideas on where you want Dmitri to start off? There's a few ways we could bring you into the story. You could possibly meet up with the party in the catacombs somehow? Perhaps you could start off in some tavern like the seedy pirate-hole "Cub'n'Spanks", have your own little side adventure, and meet up with the party later?
I'd also like to remind everybody that you don't have to go to the catacombs if you don't want to; there's other things you can do around the city as well if you should choose to do so.
Well, a side adventure might be interesting, but I quite like the idea of joining with the party members now - if they don't mind, that is! I could just be walking down the street outside the guildhall, and be attracted by all the fuss coming from therein - and make it known that I want in. Sword for hire, riches to be gathered!
Dmitri is on Theology Road - he has a thing for elf maidens, and sometimes hangs around outside the Elven Temple in the hope of charming/corrupting some of them. So he's actually just along a short ways from the Green Candle Guildhall, keeping an eye out. He is wearing his chainmail, for all that, as he knows that trouble is usually just around the corner, and often represents that trouble himself. If they have rooms at the 'Cub'n'Spanks', he'll be boarding there, otherwise he'll be living in some terrible dive elsewhere.
Dmitri's background, from his character sheet:-
Background: 5'10" tall and 175lbs, with shoulder length dark brown hair and brown eyes, Dmitri is a pirate born and bred. Although fairly warm and friendly, he can be harsh and cruel like most pirates, reflecting his upbringing, and will often say what is on his mind - whether other people wish to hear it or not. Loyal and trustworthy (well, as much as any pirate can be said to be), Dmitri looks for adventure and excitement wherever he can find it.
I'm Graham, 42, from Scotland. I first played D&D around 1979, and was instantly smitten. Recently, I've found several places online where I can get my RP fun, as I haven't had an active group around here in many a year. I'm also an administrator on a Lord of the Rings forum, so I spend a lot of time online (too much, as my wife sees it ). I'm also a fan of the NY (football) Giants and the LA Dodgers, so I've had better sporting weeks!

Sorry about that! It's been a busy couple of weeks. I had midterms to study for and take, and my sister had a second baby so I had to go visit her. We'll resume play today though. I'm still working on some maps and I have to contact Old Gumphrey, but you guys will be able to go into the catacombs real soon, I promise.
