I found this reading the wikipedia entry on Traveller (I was trying to get all the editions straight in my head). Yes. . .somebody made a concept metal album about about a war between the Vargr and the Imperium. Behold: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hH26F6kvhUY&feature=channel

I have that! A kind reader of my blog sent me a copy. It's totally awesome. In fact, I may have to go listen to it right now.

I have a vague memory that the band released a song or two as giveaway floppy singles with White Dwarf many years ago... Might have to check.

Slough Feg's Traveller disc is awesome! They have some Trav-themed tunes on their other albums, Down With the Deadmen in particular ("Traders & Gunboats", "Psionic Illumination", etc.). Lots of fantasy & sci-fi lyrics in general by those guys... It's also worth mentioning here that Slough Feg is probably the only band with not one but TWO album covers by the mighty Erol Otus!
