Finally, after at least two years of distractions and not insignificant efforts, DD V5 Book One Heroes & Magic has been updated from beta to gamma to coincide with the release of The Annoated Heroes & Magic alpha. Download both for free from my fileshare (<--click link) I'm hopeful any interested folks here will have a read and assist me to spot the remaining bugs (perhaps post any issues found here in this topic). Once things have smoothed out, it's my intention to push both up to Lulu-land so we can have (mostly) error-free hard copies with fancy covers. In the meanwhile, you've got some reading to do... Enjoy

I don't know whether you want to keep an errata thread separate to this discussion thread but I saw this:
'Daniel Wager is credited for the thief' - page 40, V5 Gamma - should it be Wagner ?

Thought: If it were me I would (and do) exchange footnotes for endnotes. In my own work, I find that the main text is then more useful at the table running a game, without getting broken up or distracted by the footnotes on the same page. On the other hand, I can read the endnotes more leisurely away from the table, and I feel less constrained about keeping the length short. Like I said, just a thought.

FWIW, I prefer footnotes.

Thanks delta; you might also like the regular, non-annotated version of the booklet for the usability/readability case?
