To this day, FASATrek is my favorite Trek setting. (Yeah, the RPG rules had issues. That was FASA, back in the day. Great settings, lousy RPG rules, decent wargaming rules.)

Eh, the rules worked fine, at least for us.
I wrote an adventure module for them. "Imbalance of Power".

Action points always tripped me up. Not the understanding, I did play both Snapshot and Azhanti High Lightning, but it just didn't seem right in ST. Looking back on it, I think I was expecting a more cinematic style combat system than FASA's game provided. Still fun though, and the supplements were first rate.
Gronan, was that module for Klingon PCs?

Yes it was.
And it included a board game in order to "get RPGers into boardgames to bring the wargame market back." That was part of my marching orders.
In 1985 the industry was already aware that the market was shrinking.

It was another great episode, though I'm sorry you weren't there, sieg. I've never played it, but after listening to the podcast I felt that I had, and I wanted to play some more...

Thanks OS, I had family emergencies but apparently they've been resolved. Well, not resolved, but in a holding pattern. I'm in ep 10 (Holmes Basic D&D) which is being edited, and should be around for the next few shows as well.
Though I think Liz made a decent head host...might get her to do that more! :LOL!
