Great fun makofan , can't wait for next Christmas!
My feedback (please take with adequate grains of salt):
- I was very unfamiliar with the rules. From a RP/enjoyment perspective, not a problem; from a strategic point of view, it was a detriment. Were the rules available somewhere and I just missed them?
- I felt the Sorcerer's abilities and movement were too short ranged for the size of the arena. I was forced to spend much of my time moving around and letting the others weaken/destroy each other. But maybe that was by design... Anyway, I think maybe the arena should be slightly smaller or the Sorcerer's Psychic Gift should be slightly higher
I have now run four Christmas one-offs; two for Boot Hill and two for Mazes & Minotaurs. My reason for M&M was to a) learn the rules and b) allow people to have fun playing monsters. For next Christmas I am considering a six-player wizard duel with wizards from six different colleges of Dragonquest. We'll see how it goes
