Day 19, turn 1 for Ramon:
Dawn had come, then the first toll of the morning's bells just over an hour after that. Ramon was so very tired from staying up all night after adventuring for two days straight. He had exhausted himself to the point where he wasn't sure if he was saying his prayers right anymore or slurring words.
He had been left alone all night since Bureau visited him, but now Lama Gaspar Cloutier joined him. Cloutier had only recently come back to the temple after a long journey. Compared to the elder statesmen of the church, the wandering lama was only a middle-aged man.
"Ramon Orfino, I have news for you," Cloutier said. "I received a message for you in my sleep this morning, before waking. The voice said that Cuthbert has already set you on the easy road to achieving greatness, but still you have to walk it. The gods will not lift you up and set you down further on the path, just to make it easier for you. I am sorry, Ramon, but that was the message."

Day 19, turn 1 for Caltaran, Ramon:
Caltaran woke late, at the two bells of morning (8 am). He had been so tired last night that he thought Semeragin was here at the temple with him, when Semer had stayed at the inn to gamble.
The temple was already buzzing with rumors that Ramon had failed his epic bid to become a prefect without training. Apparently it would have been unprecedented and lots of clerics had been excited by the possibility of it.
Caltaran had seen Ramon asleep in their curates' quarters on the second floor and heard that he went to sleep, finally, just an hour before Caltaran woke up. So, if Caltaran was hoping for a morning raid on Dieg Manor, he was in for disappointment. Instead, Caltaran would have to use his remaining time wisely. He might want to pray for success, or have to meet with other members of the team expecting an earlier start...

Day 19, turn 2 for Caltaran:
Caltaran was relieved that the gods granted him his full allotment of spells again today, given how fickle they had been in the recent past.
He then joined his fellows in the chapter house for breaking his fast. He was sopping some toast in wine while sitting across from Danilo, who Caltaran was still used to calling Father Danilo, though Caltaran now outranked him.
"I believe you will be successful today," Danilo said, leaning forward. "I have prayed for the success of your mission and am watching for signs from the gods. Have they given you a sign yet?"
Caltaran replies " the gods have blessed me today by granting me back all of my blessings. Apparently my atonement for my past misdeeds have been forgiven and my leadership in solving the opium ring was successful yesterday as to the reasons why I have now all of my blessings. By the way the acolyte Laetitia has shown great progress the last three missions she has been on. I would like to approve a recommendation if she decides to progress further in the ranks. As far as my next mission cu rate Ramon is actually in charge of this one. I am awaiting his plan of action. "

Day 19, turn 2a for Caltaran:
"Perhaps you would like to speak privately?" Danilo said to Caltaran. "In the vestry?"
They adjourned to the smaller, private room before Danilo continued. "Laetitia does indeed show great promise. Normally, I would say she might become a priestess in another few years. But lately, I'm not willing to discredit any possibilities. Have you seen signs that Laetitia might be gifted by the gods, as you, Ramon, and Clybe were, with rapid promotion?"
And, after discussing that, Danilo brought up: "I understand that Clybe seems to have faltered in his advancement. He has been unable to complete his training. If there have been signs that...well, perhaps that he had fallen into disfavor with the gods, then it would be your duty to report it to your superiors."
Before the breakfast caltaran being injured would have healed himself.
Caltaran polite says out of respect to danillo, " during the three missions laeticia showed courage, valor, followed orders, and also provided wisdom in her opinion and thoughts. I have not asked the gods for council on her but will give my recommendations to my superiors."
Caltaran says " clybe failure at training disturbs and surprises me. If he has the skill and talent to advance he should, something is holding him back. I will mention this as well. Thank you for your council as you have more experience in dealing with church beauracracy."
Caltaran then heads to find one of his superiors. If he does find the head paladin though he would like to talk to her about semer progress.

Day 19, turn 3 for Caltaran:
The gods further blessed Caltaran by making him as good as new.
Caltaran then found Archdeacon Ferrero in the Zilchus shrine and spoke with him.
"I have heard good things of Laetitia as well, but she has not approached anyone yet, that I am aware of, about feeling ready to become a priestess yet. And as for Clybe...I believe he is still training today. Do you have time to assist him, or will your mission be taking you to Dieg Manor soon?"
Caltaran says " i can assist in observing clybes training. Although i am waiting the plan from ramon about dieg manor. He turned in late so perhaps dieg manor raid will be in the morning. For now tell me where to find clybe."
As he slept Ramon had a disturbing dream of a mass assault on Dieg Manor launched at dawn. It had failed utterly, the Cult had been ready for them. The dream matched Ramon's own inclinations as to how to carry out the attack. He rose and made his prayers before leaving the quarters and beginning gathering the forces for the assault. His first stop would be informing those who would supervise the supporting forces of the plan. He also dispatched novitiates to Harvester's Heroes and other adventurers who had agreed to join the assault.
Caltaran would have mention to ramon that he is going on the assault to dieg manor and was going to get clybe
Caltaran hearing clybe comments ask him "i hope you do complete your training. However to attempting to take over if ramon fail is very ambitious indeed. What makes you beleive the higher ups would appoint you plus how do you know the mission will fail? Exactly what are you implying?"

Day 19, turn 6 for Caltaran:
Clybe answered. "Even here in the treasury I've already heard the rumor of Ramon's unprecedented fast climb to prefect. The gods have given him this chance to serve them, and he tosses it aside lightly, to achieve personal glory? That is why he will fail, Caltaran. But...there is no reason for you to go down in flames with him. When -- or if, you see the manor raid is failing, there would be no shame in you leaving him to his fate and returning back here -- to warn the high priests, of course. I am sure they would reward you greatly for informing them."
Ramon sent a messenger to the Silver Consortium asking their aid before convening the meeting.
Ramon found a stool to stand up on and waited patiently for the assembled crowd to fall silent and give him his attention. Everyone who had come to help was gathered in the refectory, the only space convenient for such a crowd.
"Thank you all for coming. As the Cult feeds on discord and chaos, we will defeat them with our coalition of all who would see this city prosper. What we risk we risk for each other. The elders of my Church have entrusted me with leading this attack and I hope to prove worthy of that trust. Let me lay out our plan. There will be two parties of adventurers who will enter the manor and take on its foul defenders. Both will approach at the same time, enter the Manor and split the task of clearing it. One will take the upper floor and the other the ground floor. Sergeants Trazen and Jacobo, your squad and Lieutenant Haizea's men will wait until we have entered and then surround the manor to prevent any escapes from inside the manor or any assistance from Cult forces elsewhere in the city. Ciro, Curro, and Laetitia will support the Viscount's Standing Army and be prepared to aid any adventurers who come out of the manor in need of assistance."
Ramon paused for questions, "Any questions about the general plan? Good."
"The two teams of adventurers are as balanced as I can make them. One group will be around the core of the Harvester's Heroes who are here. Grandmother Henrin and Subdeacon Gutxi, please join them. Gautier, Cahir, and Ibai's stout hearts and strong arms will round out that team. Gratien, will you lead that team and take wise counsel from Grandmother Henrin and Subdeacon Gutxi?"
"The other team I will lead with Caltaran's support. Semeragin and Koldo, I look forward to fighting alongside you once again. Holman and Dudo, I promise you will not regret coming with us. Brother Alvis, you do us honor by joining us against the Cult. Nidia and Gaizka, I am humbled to have you with me as well."
Ramon paused for a moment, "Before we take up our arms and our packs, I suggest those who wish it join the priest or priestess of their faith in preparatory prayer. Caltaran, would you lead those of us of the Temple of Heavenly Virtues in worship?"
((I will do my spells when I get a chance, soon.))
Before ramons speech he says to clybe " clybe in no way would i sully my honor or faith in leaving ramon in danger. I will fight till my last breath in order for this mission to succeed. I also expect the same reapect and bravery of you as well. To show dishonor and disbelief, is to show a lack of faith and this is the reason why you are failing in your training. Now you should meditate and consider whether you ready for training and also if you are coming with us. "
Later in ramons speech ( not sure if this can be possible if clybe encounter escalates), caltaran says " yes i will lead a worshil service. Everyone please gather inside and we will have a service, some blessings, a message, and a prayer."
( need to know scott if i can continue with the worship service or tbe encounter with clybe)

Day 19, turns 9 for Caltaran, Semeragin, Ramon (and a boatload of NPCs):
Clybe had not stopped Caltaran from leaving, but Ramon had stopped Caltaran from trying to lead an entire worship service. Instead, he clarified his intention of having a cleric from each temple lead them in a single prayer.
Brother Alvis jumped in before Caltaran could go. "Glorious Pholtus, model of all those who are devoted to law, obtain for me the grace to fight valiantly, putting the call of duty above my many sins; to work with thankfulness and joy, considering it an honor to employ mine arms as though gifts received from thee; to never surrendering to weariness or difficulties; having always death before my eyes and the account which I must render of time and talent, hard toil, blood and sweat, to accomplish what is good and righteous in thy eyes. All for Pholtus, all after thy example, O blinding light. Such shall be my motto in life and death. Amen."*
During the prayer Caltaran thinks about Clybe comments about advancing. Is this politics? Evil? This makes him know that church politics is not for him. When brother finishes his prayer caltaran steps forward.
" Brothers, sisters, and fellow adventurers we have accomplished a lot in the past couple of weeks. We have survived the attacks from the cultists. We have eliminated the threat of the dungeon in Ryemond. We have shut down an illegal opium den. Now we are at the biggest threst now Dieg manor. Lord heironeous bless us and give us the strength and courage to defeat the cultists and bring to justice those who reside there. Keep us safe from the enemy magic and weapons that will cause us harm so we can make it safely home. We pray to you lord heironeous amen"

Day 19, turn 10 for Caltaran, Semeragin, Ramon (and a boatload of NPCs):
Semeragin listened silently to the prayer, and the confused reactions afterwards.
"Opium den...?" someone asked who wasn't up on current events.
"Does Heironeous have more of a leadership role in their church's pantheon now?" someone else asked about Caltaran's selectiveness.
Grandmother Henrin went next, representing the last church here. Her prayer took the form of song.
"When the mountain touches the valley, all the clouds are taught to fly As our souls will leave this land most peacefully. Though our minds be filled with questions, in our hearts we'll understand When the river meets the sea."*
*((Borrowed from Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas.))
Ramon must have confused everyone with his suggestion. It was too late now, but he had meant to avoid offending any sensibilities and allowing each member of the expedition to withdraw to their own brief religious communions. No matter.
"With all our faiths acting together, we cannot fail," he said. "Unless there are any questions? No? It is my honor to say this to all of you: To Dieg Manor and the defeat of the Cult!"
"We have split ourselves into two teams of adventurers to take the assault to the enemy. Whatever division of the three of you makes the most sense to make these two teams roughly equivalent, please assign yourselves."
