Has the original (1976) Metamorphosis Alpha game ever been released with a decent font size? The 1976 printings must have a 6-point font or something equally ridiculous. Surely I can't be the only one who would love to play the game but is turned-off by the teeny, tiny font.
I just noticed this on the Goodman Games reprint Kickstarter page:
Our goal is to reprint the original pages at approximately 10% larger than their 1976 publication. The 1976 edition used a small font size. 10% sounds like a minor adjustment but it is just enough to make the original text easier to read, without making a noticeable change in the presentation.
Does anyone have a copy of that? What would you say is the font size?
Geoffrey: Black Blade has stock of that book from GaryCon and NTX, I'll ask Jon to check and let you know (the books are all at his house).
I would really appreciate that, Allan. My limit is pretty much the font size in Gary Gygax's AD&D Monster Manual, Players Handbook, and Dungeon Masters Guide. If the font is smaller than that, then it's too small for me.
As it turns out, we sold out of our stock of MA pb books at NTX, Geoffrey, so I can't provide any specifics, sorry
Well, it's good that you sold so many copies. But this also means that there are all kinds of people out there who own a copy. I need one of those kind souls to let me know if the font is at least as big as the font in the old 1970s AD&D hardbacks.
