"Ah," says Quasmus, "well perhaps I shall speak to these creatures regardless." He turns to address the bears. "Ursine friends! Please pardon us if we have trespassed on your territorial claims, for we are embarked on a charitable journey to find healing for one of our porcine compatriots, just there across the ferry. In fact we mean to make it there by lunchtime so if you'll excuse us — "
The bears do seem to pay attention to what Quasmus has to say, there also seems to be a conversation between the boars and the bears. After a several minutes of discussion, the bears lumber off into the woods and you continue to the ferry.
So just Quasmus and the sick boar or anyone else?
The ferryman looks a bit quizzical at the size of your "pigs" and quotes you 3 pigs for 1 gp fare, so your 3 gp would get 2 people and 3 boars across (and you probably have a few silver to pay for some drinks until you can conduct business with Zebulon).
Quasmus and the boar cross the ferry and make their way to Bier. They arrive just as Zebulon steps out of the Tavern. He greets you and suggests you follow him to a small grove of trees. He then asks you "What's up, why are you alone an accompanied by just one of the boar pack?"

"Friend Zebulon! We find succor in your presence. We were met with the boar pack but a few days journey from here, where we learned that this one — drat if I can recall his name after many hours at his side — finds himself afflicted by yonder gangrenous wound. We though to befriend these creatures and aid their fellow, that they might reconsider tearing us limb from limb. Perhaps your powers can assist him? Naturally we will once again find ourselves in your debt — in fact, I'm not sure if we found ourselves out of it in the first place, hmm."
"Well, I can certainly help, Torvald, let me see your wound"
The boar shows Zebulon his wound. Zebulon casts some spells and the wound seems to mostly heal, though there is still some damage. He explains "Torvald, the silver burned you, and that I can not heal, that will just take time to heal, but you should be in much better shape now."
"Quasmus, so tell me more about how you came to be in the company of Torval here."

Quasmus looks back at the boar with a "quite probably though I seem to recall we were surrounded by boars and yes we shot at you with spells and arrows and wanted to eat you for supper but still" look. In any case he appeals to Zebulon, "We endeavored for peace with the tribe of the boars and the tribe of the bears, that we might pass through these woods unmolested."

"In a word, booty. In fact we intend to return to the underworld location we so recently plumbed, as we suspect we have left cash on the table, as it were. Naturally we will endeavor to punish all evil and noisome guardians to the utmost.
"Knowing us, of course, our plans will go awry en route and we shall be, I suppose, trampled by mollusks or set upon by mud-gulpers at the river's edge. Which brings me to the subject of divine aid, perhaps manifesting in the form of, I don't know, a potion or scroll or even a rank rumor that might help guide us in our efforts. Also have you seen any basilisks in the family way — asking for a friend."

"That is disappointing. Nevertheless, I thank you for your candor, and for helping this new friend Torvald. But tell me Zebulon, what do you know of this tribe of boar-men, and have you any knowledge of the bear-men we encountered? Any information may help us in our endeavors."
"The boar and bear tribes are both protectors of the forest, though they keep mostly out of sight of men. Torval, you may pass word on to the tribes that Quasmus and his brethren have been of great service to myself and have been seeking to clear out the foul creatures in the dungeons in the ruins of Kingslure. With that, Quasmus, I must return to my work, good day. I will get word to you should I need escort into the forest again, and you may always look me up here in Bier should you have great need."
It's about 3 days to the dungeon. Having not carefully tracked days, but with 3 days each way and at least a couple nights spent at the dungeon, I'm going to rule the 1 week rations you had purchased are now consumed. So you cold get by with 1 weeks rations per 2 people to get you to the dungeon. While at the dungeon, you would have time to forage after delves each day you spend there, so maybe 1 week rations per 2 days spent at the dungeon for the entire party. And then I think you could maintain a 1 day reserve which would get you back to Bier for resupply after delving.
You could leave the city and camp tonight to avoid lodging costs in the city.
With that, your 39 gold would get you 25 gp for the 1 week rations per 2 people in the party, with 10 gp for 2 more weeks giving you 4 days at the dungeon, and then 4 gp left...
I think you have about 2 nights at the dungeon before you need to return to Bier for rations.
That allows for 3 delves with a night of rest between each one (of course then traveling to Bier without benefit of a nights rest to regain spells.
