Yes I probably enjoyed them more as a teenager but they were also a fresh discovery. I probably liked Elric the same way many of the kids who like vampires nowadays. Few books I reread but I have done so with several of the Elric books. I think I have audio of several of the books. I might have to dig those up and have fun listening to the stories.

Elric is great, but Corum and Hawkmoon are more fun imho. Probably because they're a bit less angsty.

Wayyyyyy late to the party here. Heard of Elric but finally got around to reading them. Doing it in the Story order of the 6 "books" that came out in the 60's-70's. I am in Sailors right now and really enjoying this stuff. I am a huge REH fan and read everything he has done so this is very different but also similar. Good fun pulpy reading. Yes this is no lit but I was not expecting that. I expected an angst ridden guy with a possessed sword and a destiny he can't avoid.
