Day 18, turn 24 for Caltaran, Semeragin, (Fortunato, Gautier, Laetitia):
It was dinner time now and the Bronze Unicorn was starting to pack people into the common room. It turned out to be a lucky thing that Semeragin had shown up early to request the private meeting room, for other groups showed up later wanting it for private parties and were turned away.
By now, Caltaran, Fortunato, Gautier, and Laetitia had shown up to join Semeragin.
"Everything has been sold that we found," Gautier reported. "In total, it came to 878 gold, 1 electrum, and 14 silver. Caltaran, Semeragin, your shares will come to 80 gold and 3 silver."
"But..." Fortunato said.
"But...Marcel and Joaquim have half the money on them, and they have not shown up yet," Gautier said.
"They are good and noble men," Laetitia said. "Marcel was even considered for paladinhood. They will come."
"But, just in case, does anyone know where to find them?" Fortunato asked.
Caltaran and semer both are ready to accept their share.
Caltaran asks Joaquim " even though I have my duties at the church, I am not a beaurocrat and the leadership and running a daily mass ia something I plan to do when I retire. I want to see new sights and adventure. Do good things and make a little more for myself. I know you and Marcel are forming a investigative adventuring guild and wondering if you are looking for a new member?"

Day 18, turn 26 for Caltaran, Semeragin, (Joaquim, Koldo, Fortunato, Gautier, Laetitia):
"I imagine everyone Marcel has ever adventured with here in Verbobonc should consider themselves invited," Joaquim said with a shrug. Despite Caltaran's follow-up attempts, Joaquim did not seem interested in talking about Marcel's planned guild and, indeed, seemed quite distracted.
Marcel did finally show up, though he too was distracted by other matters. "Bad news -- Axen is leaving us. Poor little guy feels disillusioned, but he claims it's wanderlust taking over him. I did my best to convince him to stay and help."
"If you couldn't, no one could," Joaquim said to comfort the big guy. "Caltaran wants to join your guild."
"The investigators' guild? Yes, clerics will be welcome. As will magic-users. Even thieves, if they're the right kind."
Fortunato nodded at that. "Don't forget the halfings we picked up in Ryemend. Has anyone seen them since we left the dungeon?"
"I haven't," Koldo said. "I hope they come with on tomorrow's mission. I think we could use them."
"The hour is getting late," Laetitia said. "I wish to return to the temple before the bailey is closed for the night. Good night, all."
"Let me walk you there," Gautier said, getting up with her.
"I don't think we have any 'official' business left here," Fortunato said. "Well, Semeragin, what do you say we spend some of our fresh loot in the gaming room?"
Semer smiles and says "i will play a few games but first curate caltaran please give this tithe to the needy." Semer passes caltaran 10% of his earning. (8 gp). Caltaran nods and will mention this donation to the paladin. He also says " a full night sleep is indeed good I will also accompany you both back to the bailey."

Day 18, turn 26 for Semeragin, (Fortunato):
The gaming room was not busy for an Earthday night. Fortunato kept busy playing alquerques most of the night and finally broke even.
Semeragin found that the most competitive players gravitated to backgammon. He overheard talk of "getting good enough to take on the Coachman when he comes back."
Seven men's morris and fox & geese were also being played, but Semer gravitated towards hazard, a dice game. Here, he befriended Sergeant Trazen of the Viscount's Standing Army. Trazen was extra friendly because he had been drinking and he was winning. Semer wound up 4 silvers behind by the end of the night, but Trazen considered him a boon companion after their time spent together.
"Any time you need help, you call on me, Semer," Trazen said. "Any time at all. I mean that. You're a good man. I think I need a hug."

Sgt. Trazen had said he didn't need the help, but did not turn Semeragin away. Since the inner bailey was sealed for the night by then, Trazen went to the local watch station to sleep it off.
Day 19, turn 1 for Semeragin:
Though the inn had been rowdy by closing, it was all quiet this morning. The drunks who couldn't leave on their own had been carted out of the common room and slept it off in a flop room on the ground floor.
The innkeeper, an aging but still beefy half-orc, was already up and had a fresh crew of two serving lads cleaning the place.
"Good morning, sir!" Hunemar the Innkeeper said to Semer. "Can I interest you in some watered beer and porridge? Or some leftover stew from last night?"

Day 19, turn 1a for Semeragin:
Hunemar served Semeragin himself. The porridge was really good. The ale could have been a little less watered down.
"You're friends with Marcel and Joaquim?" Hunemar asked. "They've been good tenants these past...almost three weeks now. Funny how Marcel was still in a drunk stupor this morning. That friend Joaquim needed help loading him into a cart."
It was an odd story, especially since Marcel had not drank much last night, that Semer saw.

Day 19, turn 2 for Semeragin:
Semeragin was thinking he needed some healing more than he needed to find Joaquim and Marcel.
On his way out of the Foreign Quarter, before reaching the High Quarter, he encountered Lieutenant Haizea on patrol with 10 soldiers. He remembered her treating him fairly in their previous encounters, but she looked to be all business and not in a mood to stop and chit-chat.
