Well guys, I’m sorry to say that Chains that Bind will not be coming to completion. The few contributors have all fallen through and I’ve lost the inclination in doing it solo. There is always the possibility that I might pick it up again in the future, but it’s not likely.
A fair amount of it has come together, though. So, in the spirit of the holidays, for a very limited time I will be sharing a link to all the pdf's of the articles that were complete or near completion. You can then see where this project was heading. Hopefully it will at least be a fun read.
I have also included the front cover, front inside cover, and back cover images. I’ve personally printed them out on goldenrod card stock, as I had originally imagined, and found them attractive. Though, I was considering a light grey as well. Who knows, maybe there’s somebody out there who wants to print it all out as is? With the linked articles, you will also find the public domain font necessary for the title to print properly.
Some of the articles that will not be found are still in very rough draft form (martial music and give it a chance). The comic strip is still but a thumbnail sketch. The news and announcement section…eh, who cares really, didn’t bother to include it. Basically, I had inserted some retro hobby advertisements in this section, a Strategic Review reference, and a more detailed blurb on ROLLS.
As for the partial articles that I did include, I had intended to add a schematic with the sand table article. That did not get scanned and digitized, so not included. The Battle of the Draugr does not contain my play report, but I did include the scenario write up. There are two files for this. One has a few photos. The other contains no photos, but is more printer friendly if you would want to use it or expand on the idea. Of course the pages of content will not match up with the page count. The page numbers were just place holders. That’s about it.
Anyway, here it is in all it’s unpolished, minimally edited, and incomplete amateurish glory.
