"Well...north is apparently not fine!" Derosh Mol said. He picked through some of the loose rocks (but nothing heavier than 20 lbs.) before giving up and heading back through the last room and then heading north on the other side.
Professor Ganon Byrne says, "that silk cloth should be showing the indentations/looks of the items. Perhaps this bag is magical. I have heard about magical storage devices. We could now do a detect magic on all of the stuff we acquired or head north. For right now exploration sounds good."
You head back through the room that had the skeleton, to the western passage, intending to go north. You hear faint clanking (like you heard before) from the passageway to the north, and a louder clanking behind. You turn, to see a man in chain and helmet, carrying a torch. He looks relieved to see you

"Ahh," the man sighs, catching sight of the band. "It's about time I caught up with you! The Baron mentioned you had quite a head start..." His manner is at ease, but his stout cudgel remains at the ready for trouble.

"I was told by the Baron that a group of brave adventurers had desperate need of the blessings of Saint Godus in their travails," the fellow replies. "And judging by this greeting," he says with a friendly chuckle in his voice as he eyes the ragtag bunch, "he was right."

"Did he indeed?" Derosh Mol asked, keeping a suspicious eye on this stranger. "What is your name, and from where do you hail? The Baron told us no clerics were available to us...unless one slipped his mind?"

"My friend, I am Friar Kurt, and it seems indeed that there were none within the Barony to minister to the needs of the common man until I arrived. By the charge of my order I am a wanderer sent to bring aid and succor to downtrodden. I was told of the danger posed by this forsaken place and that you were in need of one to stand beside you. If you are still suspicious," says the Friar, "simply let me stand my ground against whatever foe you are next to face and I shall prove that my cudgel is to be brandished in your service."

"You may get your chance to prove your cudgel sooner than we'd like..." Derosh Mol said, turning his attention northward. "Friar Kurt, follow our front line fighters, if you would?" Derosh Mol planned to bring up the rear behind him.
Frederick charges the iron man, but his lance glances off the automaton. Janet does her patented knee-barrelling and knocks the iron man over! Frederick spills off the pig because of her plunging, but it is just a short fall and he should be good to attack next round. Coast rushes up, as does Friar Kurt, but they fail to damage the iron man. The iron man punches at Janet, but misses
With four of you swarming it, you should have a good chance next round fo doing some damage.
