Back in the 1990s, the Greytalk listserv was the preeminent method of discussing the World of Greyhawk online. There used to be a comprehensive archive of the listserv online, but that site has been gone for years. To make up for it, I've been slowly adding to a blog-archive for the old listserv. I have 250 old messages from the "good ol' days" up so far, with more content added weekly. greytalkarchives.blogspot.com/~Scott "-enkainen" Casper

Hey, I read that Wizards is shutting down the “oracle” listserv. I know Greyhawk-L was a lesser cousin of Greytalk, but if you’re interested in such things, you might check to see what you can rescue from the archives.

Great work, Scott! I'm glad to see posts by Gygax included; I didn't know he participated on that list. But it's not surprising given the number of other boards/lists he was involved in (DF, EnWorld, Pied Piper forums, Troll Lord boards, etc).
Where are you finding these posts?

Where are you finding these posts? I have folders and folders of printouts, from back in the days when it was easier to print out e-mails than it was to save them on a floppy disk. Now I'm slowly scanning them and then tossing the paper copy. Yes, Gary was active on Greytalk, as was Rob Kuntz at one time. I think someone else will have to take on the Greyhawk-L archiving project... ~Scott "-enkainen" Casper

I have a number of printouts too. Making the time to scan them, however, is my challenge....

Will Greytalk still go on after this? :)I never participated, and I am not sure if the respective issues are interrelated.

There still is a Greytalk listserv, but it gets little traffic anymore.
