Day 7/Turn 6, rd. 3 for Sergi, Ramon, Axen, Clybe, (Koldo):
The second orc turned to face Sergi, only to be seriously impaled on Sergi's short sword. Clybe saw the first orc was distracted when Ramon withdrew from combat with it so he struck fast, delivering a fatal blow to the seriously injured orc before Koldo got a chance to finish it off. Ramon reached the other combat, but wasn't able to help out in it yet.
The second orc, seeing it was now hopelessly outnumbered, turned to flee in panic. Sergi missed a chance to stab as he winced in pain, but Ramon managed a glancing blow that left the orc still seriously wounded, but stumbling out of melee and out of the room, into the north-south corridor.
((Sergi's to hit: 16- 4 dmg, Clybe's to hit: 17-2 dmg, Ramon's to hit: 2; morale check: 27%, Sergi's back attack: 7+2, Ramon's back attack: 13+1 -1 dmg. Sergi takes 1 pt of damage for fighting too long while weak.))

Day 7/Turn 6, rd. 4 for Sergi, Ramon, Axen, Clybe, (Koldo):
Ramon got his wish, as the orc paused out in the corridor, as if unsure about which direction to run. Ramon took a swing at the orc just as it was turning around to face him. The orc's morningstar pounded on Ramon's shield, but never got past it. Koldo came running up and ran the orc through on his sword.
The corridor and room were secure, for the moment.
((Ramon's to hit: 6, to hit Ramon: 11, Koldo's to hit: 19 - 3 dmg))
"Well done, Koldo!" Ramon said in a loud whisper. "Let's get back into that chamber. I have an idea. And let's bring this oaf with us."
Once they were back in the chamber Koldo took up the guard at the door and the party fell to searching the room, first looting the orcs. Making a small pile of their arms and equipment for possible resale but focusing on the lighter treasures.
"My guess is that five might be a reference to the mural. Sergi, you're good at this: search the fifth figure that hag is chasing, maybe it's the trigger to a secret door or something."

Clybe and Axen stood around and rested, and Koldo watched the doorway. Ramon watched Sergi as Sergi searched the mural, particularly around the fifth figure the hag was chasing. It was another fine idea, but not one that panned out; there did not seem to be any secret button or anything concealed in that whole 10' x 10' section of wall.

Day 7/Turn 8 for Sergi, Ramon, Axen, Clybe, (Koldo):
Sergi started looking for statues, while Axen and Clybe just stood around and did nothing, but Ramon and Koldo got busy searching the wall with the mural with due diligence. However, 10 minutes later, neither of them had turned up anything; it still appeared to be an ordinary mural.
"Alright. Maybe we're supposed to go passedthe sixth entrance. Let's fan out a little. Sergi, can you check the door across the hall for traps and then do the same for the portcullis? Koldo, you and I will have a look further down. First through the portcullis, then further down this corridor, then down that side corridor."
"Axen, Clybe? Can you search the mural one more time in case we've missed something?"
Ramon waited for agreement or argument then went with Koldo. They would see what was passed the portcullis, and then go about ten feet down each passage to see what they could find.

Day 7/Turn 9 for Sergi, Ramon, Axen, Clybe, (Koldo):
Sergi found no traps on either the door or the portcullis.
Ramon carefully examined their options, which seemed to spread out from this intersection. Further to the north, just at the edge of their light, there looked to be maybe another door on their left. The east corridor seemed to go much further.

Day 7/Turn 9, rd. 1 for Sergi, Ramon, Axen, Clybe, (Koldo):
No sooner had Ramon and Koldo started down the corridor, with the other three lazily drifting behind, then a fresh orc emerged from an open archway on the south wall of the corridor, with another one coming behind him.
((The new orcs are 30' away, on the east side of the map. Intentions?))
Axen ran in low toward the first orc, his sword in hand. As he reached the orc, he swung for the calves and knees, as was his usual attack. He heard Ramon's call to Sergi, but barely noticed. Axen was not the kind of halfling to worry too much about what was at his back.

Day 7/Turn 9, rds. 1-2 for Sergi, Ramon, Axen, Clybe, (Koldo):
The orcs reacted while Clybe and Axen charged them. The first orc stepped further out into the hallway and the second orc emerged. Both wore helmets and chainmail, with battle axes in their off hands and hand axes in their right hands. They through their hand axes at Clybe and Axen, but they were hasty throws that didn't come close to hitting.
Clybe's attack was clumsy and he missed the first orc entirely, but Axen's sword swing broke the orc's knee and dropped the orc, unconscious.
Ramon and Koldo, by standing their ground and waiting for the orcs, wound up becoming the second rank. They stood behind Clybe and Axen, waiting for an opening.
Sergi watched the rear, but saw no one coming.
A third orc was visible in the southern archway.
The orcs shifted over, so that the second orc fought over the body of the first orc and the third orc was able to step into the melee. They switched their weapons to the battle axes, wielding them two-handed. The second orc used its axe deftly to block the attacks of Axen and Clybe. Clybe was able to protect himself from harm, but Axen took a moderate gash from an axe blade.
((Rd. 1: to hit Clybe: 4, to hit Axen: 6, Clybe's to hit: 4, Axen's to hit: 20 - 6 dmg; rd. 2: Clybe's to hit: 10, Axen's to hit: 8, to hit Clybe: 5, to hit Axen: 15 - 3 dmg))

Day 7/Turn 9, rds. 3-4 for Sergi, Ramon, Axen, Clybe, (Koldo):
Clybe and Axen slowed down, allowing the orcs to attack before them. This also seemed to allow them to defend themselves better, as Axen nimbly ducked under the axe this time and wasn't close to being hit, and Clybe deflected the axe of his attacker with his shield. Unfortunately, going full defense left them no opportunities to score hits of their own.
Ramon's light illuminated the battle, and Koldo was chomping at the bit to get in there. Sometimes Koldo seemed ready to jump into the narrow space beside Axen, but was afraid of crowding his fighting style.
Sergi saw nothing in the rear, but the others could see a fourth orc arriving from the east, on the other side of the combat.
Clybe took a glancing hit, failed to hit back, but Axen ignored his own opponent and stabbed Clybe's foe while his guard was down from the side; that proved to be a serious wound, but the orc kept fighting.
The newly arriving orc waited as impatiently to join in the battle as Koldo was.
((Rd. 3: to hit Clybe: 12, to hit Axen: 2, Clybe's to hit: 8, Axen's to hit: 7; rd. 4: to hit Clybe: 20 - 1 dmg, to hit Axen: 9, Clybe's to hit: 11, Axen's to hit: 17 - 1 dmg))
Ramon could see no way for Koldo or him to get into the fight. But since he was busy holding the torch, he was not sure how he would contribute even if he had the chance. So he was left holding the torch high and holding his breath as Clybe and Axen did the fighting.

Day 7/Turn 9, rds. 5-6 for Sergi, Ramon, Axen, Clybe, (Koldo):
Clybe and Axen kept doubling up on one of the orcs and they thought their plan would work -- the orc raised its defenses to shield against Clybe's overhead swings -- but the neighboring orc saw what they were up to and blocked Axen's low sword thrust for his comrade. At least the orcs were kept on the defensive and could launch no better attacks of their own.
But then brute force won through where strategy failed -- the orc's axe was sundered under the weight of Clybe's mace and the mace clove straight through into the orc's face -- delivering a fatal blow. Axen was too surprised to take advantage of the distraction and strike the neighboring orc while it watched its comrade go down. Which was just as well, as the third orc dropped its sword and fell to its knees to surrender. The fourth orc, still standing about 10' back, turned and fled down the east corridor.
((rd. 5: Clybe's to hit: 9, Axen's to hit: 3, to hit Clybe: 3, to hit Axen: 8; rd. 6: Clybe's to hit: 17 - 5 dmg, Axen's to hit: 2, morale checks: 31, 33))
