Along the way out of the keep proper, Crumm will try to engage Jacques in some banter... Gauging his interest in doing so. "Your line of work, good Sir, does it keep you in odd hours? Are you often about these parts in the nighttime? I'd be interested in learning of anything you have seen, or perhaps heard, that you find oddly particular. If you don't mind sharing, of course." He will cast a quick glance to the man, and remembers that it was He, and not Crumm, that offered to walk. "..Unless there was some matter you wished to discuss with me, perhaps?"
OOC: Crumm will be extra-attentive along the journey with, and after, the grave-digger. Something doesn't feel right about the fellow offering to take the walk with him; Not sure why.
Jacques is not a man of many words, but he doesn't seem to mind Crumm's questions. (If anything, he seems relieved not to have to walk alone at night through the bad neighborhoods outside the Keep's walls.) "I have lived in Arkham five years and seen many unusual things. But compared to the horrors of my homeland, Quebec, it is nothing... the dead here in Arkham stay dead, the snow does not eat entire families in their sleep, the mining tunnels do not scream and moan at night, and we are many kilometers away from the flesh-craving Wendigo. You could say I like it here in Arkham, my new home!"
The gravedigger now asks Crumm the question he didn't want to ask in public. "We Canadians have many legends about your ancient people. But it is hard to separate myth from fact. Some tales say that Faerie-kind cannot set foot on hallowed ground, or cannot tolerate the presence of certain materials such as cold iron. I am most curious to know, out of professional interest, what are the traditional and modern burial customs of the Elves?"
