I finished my Magic User on my Blog, and if anyone would like to see the process from start to finish I welcome them to come and see.
I used GIMP for them and I can't recommend it enough. There is no way that I can afford Photoshop so I am really grateful for it.
I intend to do a Cleric, and also redo the Thief (which kinda sucks) and if everything goes according to plan..I have an ambitious idea to try - but first things first.

That Wizard looks pretty sure of himself.
Lucky for him the monster is going to have trouble swinging that club in that hallway.
