Wow, greyelf even has a link to the textured stuff, but I'm not so sure it's worth the $28, considering that if I save up, I can obtain original copies (albeit in rougher shape) on eBay...

I tried 110# cardstock and it's a bit too stiff. I'll stick with the 65# stock since it's readily available.

Yeah, it was worth it to me because I make copies of the books like a madman--I like to make sure I've always got a slew onhand as I never know when a gaming group will need access (and I'm in three gaming groups!) I also keep a set in the car, a set at work, and a bunch of other places...you could say I like to have D&D sets handy.

It's also right for Greyhawk and Blackmoor. I'm tempted to order the white textured stock to use for the other supplements, and see if they have yellow to do Swords & Spells. I made covers (with his permission) using Kevin Mayle's pieces and it'd be neat to put them on the original stock...

Plus, I use it to print and bind my own PDFs (the Age of Conan ones, the Chainmail combat one, and Doc's WoM one).

Thanks for the reply, Jason. I'm of the mind to go ahead and get the "swank-paper" for much the same reason. I'd like to have multiple copies lying around (although not in the car/at work... that's pretty hard-core 8-)).

Quick question though: does the grain of the paper you site run lengthwise or across the width?

It's identical to the grain on the original LBBs.

I think I may get a pack of that stuff and re-cover my home-made copies. Thanks! ;)

I think this topic definitely needs to be resurrected! I printed my own this evening, as I'm planning I hope to play when I'm on vacancy and I don't want to carry the originals with me. This is how they look like:

(Probably the image needs to be sized down, I just don't know how...)

Il Male™, those shoes look like they are from 1974 as well. Or did you take new shoes and put old-looking covers on them? :D

'K.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that was staring at those hobo feet. :)

Anyway, I dig that you used orange and yellow. Very 70s colors! ;D
