.~-= Legándir Urbrinduil =-~. of Rivendell
Story Legándir, Ranger of Rivendell grew up during the era of leaving, when many he knew, who were his teachers, family and friends, disappeared forever into the west. Not a loner by wont, he became one through necessity, making friends with the earth when there were none to be had among kin. It was left to him and his dwindling cohort to protect the lands of Middle-Earth from incursions from the north and uprisings within, and he took on this duty with a fierce determination and pride, as a brother might protect his family. In his wide wanderings he has fought alongside men, as well as hobbits and stranger folk, as he scoured the borders of the Shire. Yet a growing restlessness finally lead him east, and at last, to the gates of Moria, an unexplored frontier. What might a ranger find in its depths? Perhaps a glorious death…

.~-= Norin, Son of Nain, Son of Narin, Son of Nar =-~. of the Lonely Mountain
Story Norin is one of the great grandchildren of Nar, Thror's lone companion when he went on the fool's errand to reclaim Moria by himself.
After delivering his solemn message to Thrain, Son of Thror, Nar quietly passed into obscurity and out of the historical records. But his lineage did not.
Norin has fond and vivid memories of sitting on the floor in front of grandpa Narin when he was but a child, listening to stories of the great warriors of his time. On very special occasions - large family gatherings and the like - Grandfather Narin would tell the tale of Great-Grandfather Nar, friend and companion of Thror.
To most of the grandchildren, this was nothing more than a story, full of the embelishments, fibs and white lies that so often pepper grandfather's stories. But to Norin, it was so much more. It was a mark of shame against their family that Nar couldn't convince Thror of the futility of his idea, that Nar didn't accompany his king into Moria with him (never mind that it would have meant he'd never been born), or that he should have at least retrieved his king's head to return to Thrain.
One day these thoughts weighed more heavily on Norin's mind than ever. He slammed his fist on the dinner table, stood up and, eerily echoing the words of Thrain so many years ago, bellowed, "This cannot be borne!" He gathered his battle gear and left for Moria the next day.
He isn't really quite sure yet what he seeks in Moria. Answers, revenge, retribution, reclaimed honor - it might be some or all of these. And who would complain if a little bit of treasure made its way into his hands in the process?

Story In youth, Elindir was scared with the curse of frailty--perhaps from the absent spirits of ancestors now dwelling beyond the seas. Elindir learned much herb lore and leechcraft from the unsuccessful healers that tended to him. But like childhood innocence, all that once was is now lost. The great peace, crumbled into pile of half-standing stones. Evil once again seeps from the deep places of the world. And the ancestors of the ancients will heed its call. Despite his physical weakness, Elindir has taken up arms and intents to bring the conflict to the gates of Moria.

.~-= Soval Hackbeard =-~. of Swanfleet
Story The child of poor Hollander smallholders steading the southern reaches of Swanfleet, Soval lived an uneventful childhood. A large, strapping lad, he joined a mercenary troupe at the age of twelve and never looked back. Soval has traveled to the Western coast as far as the Brandywine, and throughout Rohan, fighting most of the way. He has fought orcs twice, the second time receiving a brutal facial injury scarring his chin and making it impossible for him to grow a beard – hence the nickname. He is well familiar with Stoor-folk from his childhood, but has almost no experience with dwarves or elves, and is somewhat superstitious about both. He is of good repute among soldiers, being brave, honest, and very strong, and a small coterie of henchmen follows him. Being neither particularly brilliant nor a natural leader, Soval relies instead on fair dealing to keep their loyalty.

.~-= LÓMËLUIN, =-~. Captain of East Lorien
Story The youngest son of a proud Sindarin Lord of the Galadhrim, Lómëluin’s perceived lack of warrior fibre led to him being dispatched East to study herb-lore with Radagast the Brown under the eaves of Mirkwood. He proved an apt pupil, but the outbreak of the War of the Ring proved him also a surprisingly skilled and cunning warrior during the Battle beneath the Leaves. It was only after Sauron’s defeat that he learned his father and brothers had all fallen during the assaults on Lorien. As the last male heir of his house he assumed their duties, eventually dispatched to Southern Mirkwood, or East Lorien as it was now known, to guard its new-won frontiers. But the glory of Lorien dimmed, its people slowly passing into the West. This angered Lómëluin. Had his kin sacrificed their right to look upon the light of Valinor for nothing? Already Men encroached on the borders of Lorien. Should fire and axes come to Cerin Amroth? He refused to take the ship to the Undying Lands, brooding instead on his time with Radagast and the tales the old Wizard would sometimes tell of Rings of Power. Could what was wrought once not be wrought again? Thus it was he looked secretly into the Mirror of Galadriel - always a perilous undertaking, and more so since the Lady of the Wood departed into the West... and he saw a vision of a mighty ring lost in the eternal dark of Moria – the Black Pit.

.~-= Lady Éohild =-~. Noble of Rohan
Story Éohild of the people of Fair Rohirrim comes from a noble family of Rohan, but she has a hard determined heart to do what she dreams. She has sharp eyes and long flowing blode hair. Always over looked by her parents in favor of her younger brother who become a knight in service to the king. Éohild has always felt she was better with the sword than her brother, and can ride like the wind. Given her skills she is envious of her brothers good looks which she desires. On day she meet and befriended an Elf through her brothers dealing for the king, and asked for him to help her reach her full potential as a warrior. In a sword fight contest before he left to return home, she won out against him and was rewarded with a Elvish short-bow for protection for times when her sword was of no use. Jealous of her brother getting such a good position in the Kings army when he can't even handle a sword well like her, she wants to prove she is better and has set out to make a name for her self, and to return a victorious fighter worthy of her family's praise; and maybe the hand of the Prince himself .

.~-= Eremin Sulk =-~. of Well, let's just say Bree for now
Story Eremin Sulk never 'ad much in life, but then neither did any of his neighbors. Kicking about the back alleys of Bree offered all the amusement a growing lad could want, and the road brought all manner of strangers through the town.
Eremin never forgot the first Elf 'e ever saw. Tall and aloof, Eremin immediately dubbed 'im as snooty. Claimed in passing to 'ave killed a troll (at least that's wot 'Arry said), and that 'ad to be wrong -- there weren't any more trolls. 'E'd never seen any.
Dwarfs were near as bad. Never meet your eyes, them. Look up at you as if sizing you up for deadweight. Lots of gold, though -- wonder where they got it?
'Obbits were all right, though. Grew a decent leaf, made a good wine or beer, always willing to invite you to a feed. Just don't press them -- comes of being short, 'e reckoned.
Eremin had cause to reconsider 'is opinions of these other races once Old Bill ran 'im out of town. It were a simple misunderstandin', it were, but there was no tellin' Old Bill that. So 'e was out on 'is own, findin' 'is way as an adventurin' man. And this was finally a life that seemed to agree with 'im. Sure there were still disagreements (mainly about division of loot), but that sort of fing could be sorted out. Eventually.

Baraglin has some talents for practical things, but never imagined adventures could also be dangerous and dirty. Even so, he traveled around Bree, Hobbiton, Edhil, and probably Tharbad, Chetwood and Fornorst, leaving each time the town with enough suspicious people and no clear evidences enough to be found guilty of anything. Now, he heard about the greatest place for shinhy things....

.~-= Largo Harfoot =-~. of The Shire
Story Largo’s past was unremarkable. Very much like Largo himself. Plenty of potential, but nothing ever quite worked out as planned. The thing that led to his life on the road being a prime example: Largo’s father Palego Harfoot was a leaf farmer located well off the beaten track between the Shire and Brie. Largo helped Palego in the family business. It occurred to Largo while travelling to market with the annual crops, that he could make a pretty penny more this year and Palego would never be the wiser... After the scales tipped a very high price, Largo happily pocketed the excess, Palego got what he was expecting and everyone was happy. Everyone. Except the big folk when they found rocks in their bales of leaf. That was the catalyst for a gang of big folk paying a visit to papa Palego’s farm one night, to teach him a lesson and recover their coin. When the coin couldn’t be found and when the old hobbit couldn’t come up with answers when put to the question, he was locked in his own house which was put to the torch while Largo watched, cowering unseen from beyond the hedgerow. That were five years ago. Since then, Largo’s been on the move. Doing what comes natural. Helping himself to the easy pickings, bartering a better deal and picking up on any opportunity that comes his way...
