I don't know if some of you noticed my last rpg publication. I decided to synthesis and publish my whole campaign world, by putting together in something cohreent the various steting and places I masterised, and all NPCs I created trough 28 years of gaming. So this is a campaign setting in the fisrt, real sense.

Le Consulat is a country inspired by Italian renaissance, with 11 cities and more than one hundred NPC. The main panthon is the greeko-roman one, as I did in my earliest campaigns. So you can use it with dities, demi-gods and heroes :)

This is generic osr with classes and levels (up to 14) so it can fit any campaign, including OD&D.

The onlky bad news is I wrote in in french ::)

Well, that bites. I would have been all over it had it been in English.

To quote Steve Martin, the comedian: "It's like those French have a different word for everything!"

Looks good, sounds interesting, can't read French. Congrats on this, however. Looks like you really put a lot of time and energy into this project and it can't have been easy to put together.

French is very easy to learn. Among our 12 or more ways to write the sound [o], only 5 are of common use : o, ô, au, eau, aux. Please note half of the letters don't need to be pronounced, so there's no way to connect the reading and the spelling.

By the way, I put in this supplement material coming from four campaigns which connected easily :

- bits of my BECMI 1986-91 known world campaign, including events modified by the X4-X5-X10 events, about darokin

- parts of my RC 2003-2004 mystaran campaign in darokin

- large parts of my 3.5 2005-2007 Forgotten realms campaign in Sembia.

- extracts of my 1991-1997 french revolution Vampire campaign, italian trips.

All mixed together gives a nice italian renaissance mood. Volume II will mix allmost the same material, about elves.

Bravo! Je l'aime très bien, particulièrement l'adoption des dieux Gréco-Romaines (et Mithras!) - c'est un rappel de la Camerata Fiorentina et la fascination contemporaine envers l'antiquité classique.

I too:
* congratulate you on a lifetime accomplishment of gaming, now in book form
* can't understand French
* wish someone who does would volunteer to translate your words and let you re-layout to accommodate differences in text length
