OK then, here's a tentative set up (since I haven't heard any objections to bringing the two barded brontos with us)
Big Mama (9HD): Minion (& his 4 henchmen?) + room for 7 more (= Fated's 6 henchmen?) Big Daddy (9HD): Gunnery (& his 3 henchmen)? + room for 2 more Giganotosaurus, unnnamed (9HD): Shade & Deep One henchman Princess (4HD): 2 of Breath's henchwomen (Dream Stalker & Serpent's Scion) Psionic veliciraptor, unnamed (2HD): Fated Little Brother (8HD, barded): room for 3 riders (unassigned) Junior (7HD, barded), Breath + 2 of Breath's henchwomen (Blasphemous Blade, Devil Maw)
Then, since our slowest members are Barded (6"), we should head for the forested area inside the swamp on the first day (if we can make it???), then to the northern end of the swamp on the second day. 3rd day cross water (2 hexes) to the north.

April 22
Our heroes inspect the dinosaurs and sign the requisite rental forms while the Quarry Brothers load the expedition gear onto the brontosauruses. A quick splash across the narrow channel and you are ready to depart north to the haunted swamp.
The local clammers (all green men, you notice) are astonished by the armored dinosaur parade. Soon your convoy is followed by a green gaggle of local children, who make a game of daring each other how close to get to the scary carnosaurs.
As morning passes to afternoon, you leave behind the Fall River beach communities and enter the marsh. The marshlands are a disgusting place for humans but delightful for the brontosaurs. The only signs of human inhabitants are lonely fishing shacks leaning on their stilts. You reach a wooded knoll just before sunset and are relieved to sleep on dry ground tonight.
The herbivores get to work stripping the leaves from the trees while the scouts fan out to find a good campsite. Breath of New Moon (riding Spuds) enters a clearing in the trees and sees a large pteranodon carcass (you estimate at least 4HD) being digested to the bones by 4 dolm-colored oozing creatures!!!
Neither side is surprised. Initiative: Breath 6, oozes 1! Spuds screeches in alarm and it is the bone warrior's turn to act!

(lol... sorry. Been distracted at work with pesky deadlines.)
OOC: Will come up with descriptive stuff for the Gigantosaurus later today. In the mean time...
Shade, in his unnaturally confined form, wearing armour and wielding his boom stick, with the Alpha minion riding behind him, leads his Gigantosaurus to investigate the velociraptor's high-pitched cry.

The party converges on the clearing and surrounds the oozes, which continue slurping on the pteranodon carcass. Whether or not they've noticed you is impossible to say due to their mindless protozoal biology.

((OOC: Actually, Breath is now upon Junior. Fated is our velociraptor-mounted scout (although he's on his own psionic velociraptor, not Spuds).))

((My mistake... getting back into the game after a long weekend. Let us assume everyone is gathered around on their dinos, and it appears the slow-moving dolm oozes are no immediate threat.))

The party continues another mile past the oozes to the edge of the forest. Your scouts find a promising campsite, free of oozes, on a northern slope of the knoll. In the failing light of day, you survey the landscape.
X marks the spot:
Rain clouds are rapidly approaching from the west and it looks like you are in for a soggy night. The Quarry Brothers get to work gathering wood for a campfire. The herbivores relax and chow down on the the vegetation. The carnivores are looking grumpy and hungry. (Have you ever heard a 9HD gigantosaur's stomach rumble? Scary!)
Please describe your camp preparations and standing orders for your PC and henchmen through the night.
